Testicular Cancer

Post by Mega Ron » Tue Jan 21, 2020 2:27 pm

First off, I don't have it. Or at least I don't know that I have it. However, over the past few days the right one, the lower hanging fruit in my case, has been a little sore.

I have never, ever properly 'checked' myself. I saw some video on GMTV years back that showed you how, and there are obviously lots and lots of things online that tell you how to do it.

If I try to do it, it hurts a little and I feel nauseous.

Reckon I can get a scan or something without having to get my nuts out in front of the GP?

Get properly checked. Don't die of embarrassment.

Good luck.

Just get to bloody doctors, dude, no f*cking around.

Could just be a twisted tube, but best to get it checked.

For what it's worth I had a scare a few years ago, Docs sent me to for an ultrasound, where they ruled out anything sinister, but diagnosed Varicocele https://www.webmd.com/men/what-is-varicocele#1 which is harmless, and could be what's causing you discomfort.

Don't take any chances though buddy.

Just get it checked by your GP. I had a similar feeling back in the summer of last year, got it checked, no issues and the pain all went away on its own a week later. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and better to get it checked out rather than worrying about it for weeks on end.

I am not an expert, but you would expect, if it is a tumour, to have an obvious lump, actually so that it is visible or painful in a very particular area.

Alternatively, there is a possibility of a cyst that might be causing a tube to be blocked inside the sac. This is different from a tumour and fairly easily remedied, if it doesn't in fact just go away.

The other possibility is that its being knocked, in the ordinary course of events, such that you've bruised it, without actually causing lasting damage. Because of their life-giving properties, all mammals have evolved stronger than normal pain receptacles in this area, to make sure you look after them properly!

Just repeating what everybody else has said - get 'em checked. I once had to. If it's embarrassing, you're just going to have to get over that. The relief of an all clear (and yes I've had that too) is much better than the moment you have to get them out for a stranger to look at....

...and it is nothing close to what you endure to have the old prostate check up, which we all have to have at least once in our lives...

I'm sure that the quack has seen all sort of monstrosities, so your nut sack is going to pretty mundane.

Plus you may as well get used to it. Prepare you for the day you have a finger poked up your piece.

Is it frowned upon to ask them to finish you off?

I also have a sore bollock at the moment, and have done for the last month. I had something similar a few years ago and took myself to the doctor who promptly sent me to hospital for tests, apparently there was something floating about in my balls and the issue passed in short order.

Go and get it checked out.

A mate of mine twisted a bollock while we were out one night. Of course he didn't say anything and the pain got worse during the night. Being a worrier, he went down to A&E at about 4 in the morning and was told he had twisted it and it was a good job he had come in as, after a few hours, it could have developed necrosis and basically, had to be whipped off......
He was very relieved....
