A mate of mine twisted a bollock while we were out one night. Of course he didn't say anything and the pain got worse during the night. Being a worrier, he went down to A&E at about 4 in the morning and was told he had twisted it and it was a good job he had come in as, after a few hours, it could have developed necrosis and basically, had to be whipped off......
He was very relieved....
Hence the saying, 'don't get it twisted'?
Have to wonder how he did it on a night out..

He said it started after leaving the restaurant where we had been sitting down for the usual for the usual 2-3 hour French dinner....

Nothing more to add than what's already been said - just get the doc to check it out. Trust me, a quick fumble by a quack of your man bag is nothing compared to what the alternatives may be if you dont get it checked 👌

 I've heard it happen to 'breakdancers', not that's as common an activity, these days.
And yeah, I think the pain doesn't let you ignore it for too long, luckily.

100%, you can't lose.
If it's something bad (& it's highly likely that it won't be), you'll get it sorted & if it's something trivial, you'll stop worrying about it.

Just get to bloody doctors, dude, no f*cking around.

Could just be a twisted tube, but best to get it checked.

For what it's worth I had a scare a few years ago, Docs sent me to for an ultrasound, where they ruled out anything sinister, but diagnosed Varicocele https://www.webmd.com/men/what-is-varicocele#1 which is harmless, and could be what's causing you discomfort.

Don't take any chances though buddy.

I've had exactly the same thing! Absolute agony (left testicle) for about 36 hours where I struggled to walk and then just a dull ache for a few weeks with redness and minor swelling. I went the GP who sent me off for an ultrasound scan but they found nothing wrong, they said I'd probably twisted a tube and that it must have resolved itself.

The worst thing you can do is Google symptoms, just go to the doctors. If nothing is wrong then you haven't lost anything. If something is wrong, they'll be able to do something. I think it's reasonably common, a couple of my mates have had similar.

Of course, Mega Ron might be going to end up like this poor soul, with his 10 stone testicles.
He'd have to change his username, mind..

It is quite common, as it happens (what Arch D wrote). More so than the title of this thread, if I understand it correctly.

...and it is nothing close to what you endure to have the old prostate check up, which we all have to have at least once in our lives...

I thought I had a lump in my balls awhile back. Went to the docs and a nice lady doctor had a good rummage around down there. Luckily for me it was nothing to worry about and I managed to avoid getting a chubb on.

That’s not true. The PSA test is not very accurate, examination is far more reliable and a biopsy if necessary.
