West Ham 2 Aston Villa 2 (11/05/08)

Not sure if my facts are right but a clean sheet (non existent without Upson) next week would mean a best ever defensive record for us in the Premiership...and best ever in top flight since????

Hope we stuff them too...but it would be nice to point to something as an achievement.

Something extremely positive to take out of this season (especially considering the 16 goals let in in 4 games)

As things stand, if we beat/draw with Villa and Blackburn beat Birmingham next week Joker wont even qualify for the Intertoto.....now there's a reason to be fired up

Wigan are 2 up at the moment, a loss here should put pay to their European dreams and give them nothing to play for next week

It would be good to go out with a top performance and 3 points. It would also keep us in 10th spot

West ham to not care or bottle it or both. Spurs get point or win and finish above us

Finish 10th good season

Finish 10th good season

11th or 12th sh*t season
Spurs need to beat Liverpool to finish above us. Suspect they'll draw and so will we.

There is a degree of psychological importance and local pride in wanting to at least finish 10th.

Curbs needs a good performance in this game to dispel any thouhts of being fired. If we roll over then I would expect the pressure to replace him will really be turned up.

I think the pressure will really start to mount on 1st July.

If we reach then and Bellamy, Faubert, Dyer, Upson etc aren't ready for pre-season training all hell will break loose.

No mate. All they need is a point. We need a win to guarantee finishing 10th

Liverpoll have got nothing to gain or lose whatever the result v the spuds. They will be going down to dat dare London with nowt at stake.

If l'Arse turn over Everton tomorrow, Villa still have a chance to pip them at the post and get into l'Europe if they beat us. Everton have got the barcodes - not an easy last game.

In short - the liklihood is we will need to put in a first rate performance.

Does anyone believe the rumours that Curbishley could be sacked if we lose to Villa? I think we will finish tenth, but if we don't does anyone think Gudmansson will bring someone new in?

I reckon Curbs had one objective - to finish in the top half. If we finish 11th he's failed.

That's how ruthless running a business is these days.
