Stech

Kavoc
Da Costa
Stanislas

Diamanti needs to push forward as he usually does, the way fauberts going, he'll push forward nicely, giving us plenty of width. Nice physical presence from cole, and if that doesn't seem to be enough, we got Ilan on the bench. Franco can be quick, and can set Cole some peaches, again Mido as coer there. Noble to hold the line if we're struggling at the back, for possibly Collinson. and stanislas can, if needs be, come on for some more pace.
Can't see any reason for dropping or resting Kovac. If anyone's going to be given an afternoon off, it might be Parker or even Diamanti, who doesn't seem to travel well. Zola would want both of them fresh and available for the next home match. He might play Ilan instead of Cole for the same reason

Can't see Collison starting in front of Kovac. Doesn't deserve to either at the moment in my opinion.

I only think zola will bench parker. After all, we needs points, or a point, and we don't want to f*** up our goal difference.

Swap Kovac for Collinson and you're spot on

We should be good alright, if we pile the pressure on Brown n Evans.

Is Neville or Rafael starting at RB? Hope its Neville, Diamanti will have **** loads of space to pick a pass :raver:

2-1 :crest: Cole, Dia

Agreed.

We've been lucky in our last two games, where we've played oppositions who haven't turned up on the day. If we conceded early in the piece in this one, we could get a right hiding me thinks.

3-0 Man United

If Scott Parker is not disciplined enough to go one game without picking up a yellow card, given he's had 11 yellow card offences punished this season already in just 24 starts that's probably asking too much, then it is his own fault if he receives his 10th yellow card and serves a 2 match suspension as a result. Gianfranco Zola will tell Parker before the game tomorrow to avoid a yellow card, as quite simply we will require him for the match at home to Bolton Wanderers, so if Parker gets himself booked, there is only 1 man to blame, Scott Parker. It worries me greatly that the fans may use a potential Parker booking to attack Zola.

The only realistic change should be bringing in Ahmed Mido for Guillermo Franco as we have seen recently how much the Manchester United defence has struggled with some pace and power. Although perhaps a player with some guile and skill may be more useful for the opening exchanges and then have the power of Mido to fall back on as the game develops. Either way, Zola should not look to change their approach or team too much from the recent successes. A victory on Tuesday evening would not only secure survival, it would free Zola and the side up to produce some more attacking, skillful football.

Anyone who thinks Franco should be dropped is a helmet.

Parker and Kovac will probably be rested. He took off Cole, Franco and Alice at the weekend so i'm assuming they will start.

Rest Parker. He's one yellow card away from a 2 match ban. If he gets booked, he will have missed nearly 1 month of competitive football. I'd rather he get booked against Bolton & miss Arsenal & Chelsea, and be available for Wolves & Stoke at home.

I'd even wager him picking up a booking against Bolton on purpose.

f*** all this 4-5-1 b*llocks, swap Noble for Parker, and start with the same team and formation that started against Hull and take the game to them and have a go.

That's like saying Da Costa could reprise Upson's role in the same circumstances.
Franco is good at holding up the ball, but, to my mind at least, Cole shades him.
