Re: West Ham v Bolton Match Thread
Things could get awkward with injuries in the internationals
Imagine how solid we would look if Upson, Green and Spector all took knocks . And as for Cole........
Its being so cheerful that keeps me going .

Think Capello will sub them both at half time, or bring them on at the break if they are not in the starting X1. Either way, I will amazed if they play the whole matchthe pink palermo wrote:Things could get awkward with injuries in the internationals

talking about injuries at friendly internationals. Does anyone know if this guy is any good? Don't want to benefit from the bad luck of others (I'd rather we won it by being the better team), but given our precarious position, I'll take anything going our way!

3-1 to us I think...Cole, franco, and specs to score.

Elmander scored and had a really good game yesterday, the best I have seen from him since he left France, could he finally be on his way up? Hopefully on the bench on saturday..
Collison looked unbalanced, did not have a good game and was complaining a lot.

I know our record is not the best against these muppets but I cannot see anything but a win, we are on a decent run where Notlob are not the same side as they use to be, 2-1 to the glorious and mighty irons.
I would also go with NedN's side
Just hope Carlton is not to dispondent with what happened last night and not getting any decent time on the pitch. And of course Upson has better boots on!

Just browsing through Sky Sports stats, Did you know, On 1st half performance only we would be 8th, 2nd 17th, K Davies is current PL Bad boy, most fouls........................................something for sat..
3 -1 us, Davies sent off.
Diamanti 1 free kick special, from just outside front left of box.
Cole 2 Not bothered how, as long as he or someone else gets 2.

Spot on in my opinion, he now needs a good end to the season to make the squad.
Can only benefit us I'm sure.

Elmander always plays well for Sweden, that's why Bolton bought him, played a blinder at Euro 08. He will never be on his way up at Bolton.Voronin wrote:Elmander scored and had a really good game yesterday, the best I have seen from him since he left France, could he finally be on his way up? Collison did look unbalanced, yeh. But without being too harsh on Jack, i have never seen him have a good game for Wales. Yesterday he was playing in the hole behind the front two but was getting absolutely NO service. They completely bypassed him and crossed it into the box...i can see why he was complaining. Brilliant player in a terrible team.
Re: West Ham v Bolton Match Thread
Not true, he has been rubbish since he left for Bolton As for Euro -08, he played two games as a winger because Wilhelmsson got injured, did n´t play a minute upfront, and he did not play a blinder, infact, he was one of the scapegoats. Last time he was good when playing for Sweden was in the Euro -08 qualifications.indiehammer wrote: Elmander always plays well for Sweden, that's why Bolton bought him, played a blinder at Euro 08. Ok, maybe it wasn't Euro 08 i remember him in, but i deffinately remember him playing ALOT better before he arrived at Bolton and by that i mean for Sweden aswell as in France. Why else would they pay so much?Voronin wrote:

Besides, the point i'm making is, this guy will never hit his heights at Bolton...in my opinion.

Re: West Ham v Bolton Match Thread
You are absolutely right, and I agree, but I my point was, this was by far his best game for Sweden since he left for Bolton, and it would be so typical for him to score aginst us (again), when he usually can´t hit a wall when standing in a room.....
Bolton has during recent years bought two Swdes, Wilhelmsson and Elmander, they are probably the two Sedish players worst fitted to play for a team like Boltno, Wilhelmsson is the weakest player I have ever seen, and Elmander is a hard working, running forward, not a targetman or a goalgetter, he never has been. They must have the worst scouts in english football!

Am never ever confident when playing Bolton.........we seem to have a lot of folk predicting a 3-0 win or better......just like when we were away to Burnley!
COYI........a big game to win.....

Re: West Ham v Bolton Match Thread
Absolutely massive game! I'm down for this one, first game since Liverpool at home. We now have players reaching good form and confidence must be high. I am going for 2-0 to the Irons and Scotty Parker getting booked in the 85th minute if he already hasn't been.
