Massive game for Oxford after 4 years out of the league, reckon they'll bring a big following too, tv game maybe

Full 1st 11 on the pitch or it's a banana skin

Even with a full first 11 it's a banana skin. This is West Ham.

did you see the latest news on alfie?

" Alfie Potter bailed by police investigating two stabbings in a central London nightclub.

The 21-year-old was arrested following the incident at the Attica nightclub in Kingly Street, off Regent Street, at 2.45am on Monday last week.

A 26-year-old and an 18-year-old were taken to hospital with minor stab wounds.

Last night, Oxford United said the arrest meant that the winger was not considered for the club’s opening Npower League Two match of the season against Burton Albion on Saturday.

A club spokesman said: “The club can confirm that no Oxford United players were stabbed in a reported incident in a London nightclub last weekend.

“Following a rather inaccurate story in a Sunday tabloid, the club can also confirm that this was not a team event or activity. However, the club confirms Alfie Potter was arrested in relation to an incident, but was released on bail without charge.

“Alfie was not considered for selection for the away game at Burton due to this, while further information was sought by the club.”

The club said Potter would be available for selection for future games, but would not comment further due to the police inquiry.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “A 21-year-old man was arrested in connection with the stabbing of two men at a venue in Kingly Street W1 on August 2.”

He added that he was released on bail until Wednesday, September 29, while police enquiries continue.

Unless we have a good start to the season, which'll be tricky with our fixtures, this game could well suffer from a record low gate at our gaff for many a year. Especially if it's on the tellybox.

I doubt it. You'd hope G&S are good enough businessman to make the ticket much cheaper than previous years. Also, Oxford will bring more than most we've had at the Boleyn at this stage of the League Cup recently.

West ham united can't reduce the ticket prices if Oxford fail to agree to the reduced prices as they get a share of gate receipts

If I was oxford I'd be blocking the reduced prices sod the money as they'd stand a good chance of beating us in front of thousands of empty claret plastic seats as their fans would pay full whack ours wont
