Trying to convince him to stay perhaps? I wonder if they have said - if you stay we'll make you Captain? We all know the manager's opinion doesn't count at West HamAceface wrote:Should we be reading anything into Hitz being captain today? Green would normally be the logical choice out of the players starting today, and I would expect Collison next in line after that. Interesting...

Faubert is the very definition of the kind of player Keen was talking about excluding today. Has been openly courting a move away most of the season.maltab wrote:Faubert hasn,t got a mention this afternoon, nor Barrera

Right so no Ba, Cole and Da Costa means there all out the door? whereas Hitz is now captaining us does that mean he'll still be here next season as captain? - No.
The team today is the team that Keen thinks is willing to play and give their all in a West ham shirt. I can't see Cole being here next season along with Hitz also leaving. However Da Costa is one that I'd imagine would be here still next season and as for Ba he's an iffy one reckon he will leave at the end of the season but with his dodgy knee and the fact he only joined 6months ago roughly he could play half another season with us, so teams can see truly what he's like and weather or not his knee does play up.

Hope not. Captaincy's more important than something to throw away in negotiation for new contracts. He's only played half a season for us. Noble deserves it and will play better for having it.Hayden wrote: Trying to convince him to stay perhaps? I wonder if they have said - if you stay we'll make you Captain? agree with this, but anything that keeps der hammer at the club is fine by me, he will be awesome next season if he staysScaloni Is The Messiah wrote: Hope not. Quite right! I'm sure it's just because of his experience and the way he's trained this week... Just strange that Green didn't get it. Then again Green might not necessarily have trained particularly well / enthusiastic but we're not going to drop him are we?Scaloni Is The Messiah wrote: Hope not. I was expecting us to. We need to look at our reserve keepers properly. Green will not be here next year. Surely?Hayden wrote: Quite right!
