A lot depends on who is fit.

Demel was absent with a vomiting virus, so should come back into contention - while another 7 days should probably make Diarra, O'Neil, Collison, Benayoun all a bit healthier/fitter.

Maiga up front alone. I doubt Cole's ban will be overturned.

I think we'll get beaten by about 3 - Kebe and McCleary to ruin our full backs..... our midfield to get overrun ala the Boleyn in April as it gets tired, though at least we'll be spared Jason Roberts against Tomkins.

Ho Ho ****ing Ho. Merry Xmas.

Had we had this as our next match fresh on the backs of turning over Chelsea, I would have fancied us to come away with all 3 points. Now, fresh on the heels of a poor run, with half the team out injured and low on confidence, this looks an altogther different prospect. McDermott, will have his charges fully up for this game after a battling performance yesterday at Man City, where they were very unlucky not have grabbed a very unexpected point. He will be telling them they can win this game, to get in our faces from the off, we don't like pressure on our back four, we are very suspect in the full back department and to pressurise us in midfield. Sorry, but this is how I see this game and I think we are going to get well and truly done here. Just like year, another 3-0

Agreed, Reading as far as they are concerned are playing us at the right time they may of lost yesterday but it was a much improved performance and if they repeat it against us they stand a very good chance of taking all 3pts.

Can't be as bad as last season's performance at the Plasticski stadium can it?

Always say I'd never go back to the stadium as I absolutely detest it yet always seem to get a ticket as it's the nearest away day to me along with Southampton.

Can't even give a prediction yet so will give one next week.

I´d gamble with Diarra for this one.

Assuming the appeal i succesful:

-----------------------------Jussi
Demel--------Collins-------Tomkins/reid---Taylor
-------------------Noble--------------Diarra
Yossi-----------------------Nolan-----------------Jarvis

Subs: O´brien, Reid/Tomkins. O´Neil, Collison, Maiga, one more.

If Cole´s out, we´re ****ed. Not a game for Maiga to play as no. 9.

Buzzing for this one, hopefully a better result for us than last season there, I really want us to give these muppets a good hiding.
Hoping Coles red will be rescinded, most of the pundits reckon that it will so that could be good news for us.

Depends on the injury situation and what happens with Cole.....if Maiga is our only option, then let's hope he can show what persuaded us to lash out £5 million on him.
