wrong thread but I just realized how bad the white collars and stripes look on the new home kit seeing the photos of carroll, rat etc. Why didn't they just use black?

Last match against them

" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Peach of a goal from Maynard who is obviously now a Cardiff player. Presumably not in the frame to play for Cardiff this weekend? Haven't heard his name mentioned

We may claim they're overconfident but they have a big chance to beat us in my opinion. They'll be well up for this with a few new players set to make their competitive debut's. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, more realistic. We are an ideal first game for them really. A win against a fairly difficult to beat mid table side away could really give them a real boost. We're gonna have to play well to keep them at bay

That said, really looking forward to this one. Gonna be a good match

Early season games can be a bit iffy, no form to guide us as to what the result will be. Players trying to gel in a new team etc..

Still it is the same for most teams so that evens it up a bit. One thing is Big Sam rarely sends out a team unprepared so you know they will be up for the fight and that's ..well half the battle ( pardon the pun )

Hope we get off to a flyer and win this one.

What's all this Mackay nonsense?? He had a chance to show what a great coach he was against us last time we played and got his arse served up to him with a side salad and dips in a semi final!! Professionally that's shameful!! He got Cardiff up with one of the largest budgets and the best player, Bellamy.

Cardiff fans seem weirdly optimistic,

Sure they're on a high from finally gaining promotion, but the Prem is a huge step up from that league.

They have a lot to learn this season.....

To be honest and with how we've evolved ove rthese last couple of years under Allardyce, when you riding on the crest of a wave and as optimistic as Cardiff are after just coming up, one of the last teams you'd want to face in a baptism of fire Prem game would be us these days.

And i like that..;)

That just makes me think Carroll is going to start. "Miraculous turnaround for B'Gandhi".

Cole would be alright there, I wouldn't have an issue with it.

Find it hard to believe we'd see it but I wouldn't have a problem with it really.

Certainly would t expect Downing to start if that happen and would think we'd see RVT floating inside a lot that would cause problems.

It's just occurred to me he might mean Joey O'Brien.....

It might also mean a change of shape, with the best will in the world he isn't going to play as a target man in the usual setup.

Can you imagine him trying to get on the end of Collins' hoofs.....?

Just hope it wont be history repeating and we suffer a sucker punch right at the death.

We should have too much for them but without Carroll, we do lack that edge up top.

3-0 or 3-1. 3-0 if Carroll and Downing both start.
Trusting BS to have it figured out... COYI!
