West Ham Utd 0-0 Sunderland (14/12/13)
15:00 Saturday 14th December.
Morrison back, Nolan suspended , Downing and Tomkins injured. If we don't win this one Allardyce will probably be fired.

I think the only positive thing to come out of the Liverpool game is Kevin Nolans enforced absence - Sunderland really are *****... - we will lose

Re: West Ham vs Sunderland: Match Thread
As crunch a game as Allardyce has ever faced since he came to the Club in 2011.
Win, and he will enjoy his Christmas dinner as manager of West Ham, lose and it's anybody's guess.
Sunderland are in a crisis at the moment, and are really not that good.
We are not a great deal better, and a small gap has opened up between Norwich and us of four points.
Nolan's absence and Rav's return should make for better football. I'm still not sure where our goal threat is.
My first game of the season at UP too, so I really hope we take the three points,

A draw will be treated like a defeat
The biggest must-win game in my opinion since Uncle Avram was here & Robbie Keane was missing open goals
I have a horrible feeling about this

I want a new manager ready for the Jan window, and to my shame I would not weep if we lost AND he went.
So we are certainly to win.
Nailed on.

In light if our injury crisis and our decimated squad: Reid, Vaz, Downing, Tomkins, Carroll and Nolan being out, I just can't see us getting anything out of this and predict it will be Big Sams last game in charge.
Not feeling good about this one at all.

This'll be an edgy one.
I'd love to say we'll rock up for the 3 points but I fancy this will end up as a score draw.

I don't like how he has started changing the full backs every week. Choose your best side and keep it simple.
If Rat is still out then he has to decide who is the best reserve left back. I'd go for McCartney. Demel is clearly our best right back despite making the odd ricket.
Downing and Jarvis as wide players, take Maiga out of the firing line and give Carlton another start.
Joe Cole in Nolan's place with Morrison on as a sub for 30 mins to run at their tired defence.

If Tomkins is out then we might need JOB at left-back with Ringo in at centre half. Also sounds like Downing will be out too.Roby wrote:

We've got a real good chance of getting 3 points here. First half hour today we looked decent. Another nice deflected goal like against Fulham to get the ball rolling and then possibly a penalty.

From a 'light training' photoshoot to a PL game within a week? After 8 months out and with a £35m gamble on his heel??Oldun wrote:Would not be surprised to see Carroll on the bench.
If he is on the bench, comes on and breaks down, Sam might just as we'll walk to the middle of the centre circle, pull out a revolver and blow his brains out.

I think we just need to asses the injuries & then take the team from there! If not we are gonna have Linda CB & Joey Cole who just looks done in since he's latest injury! If all out I think I'd go....
