I'd imagine there will be some revision from the "better than Joe Cole at this age" crowd after todayWhite Goodman wrote:Morrison just atrocious. I will stand by what i put forward in the RM thread and hope to be proved wrong in the future.
Will never be the player so many of you think he will.

chalks do you not think he should have picked a better bunch of senior players for this instead of jarvis, diarra, ravel and maiga?

We had to lose as we're in the Semi Finals of The League Cup and next to bottom of the Premier League , our Squad couldn't cope with 2 Cup runs , and we all know it .
Get real , lads and lasses . It was a nothing game .
Good run out for the youngsters , that's all it was .
The scoreline flatters them but there's one word for that... inexperience. At first-team competitive level at least.
I'm glad I got to see the kids play and will encourage them for the future, they're not half as bad as has been mentioned in here and I for one hope they don't read this for fear of embarrassment. You're entitled to your opinions and your desire to want more but you can't fit a square peg in a round hole... as TOMOS basically puts it.

12th highest paid manager in Europe.
At least his twitter alter ego will be fun.

Ravel will shine in a team that play attacking football. he has not put any effort in today and i guarantee that is due to the ongoing issues behind the scenes. the owners have allowed our dinosaur **** of a manager to ruin our most saleable asset in the space of 2 weeks.White Goodman wrote:Morrison just atrocious. First bit, absolutely.westham, eggyandchips wrote:Massive respect to our travelling support today.
I was choked to see that kid crying when the 3rd went in. That picture should be sent to Sam.
Second bit, don't worry for the kid, this kind of mental abuse is character building and he'll be laughing at stuff like this when he's 21 whilst his Arse, Manc, Citeh mates will still bawl at aged 30 when they lose to Hull away in the league.

I think Ravel's got great ability but there have been multiple occasions today where passing to a team-mate was by far and away the better option and he decided to run it himself.simon1982 wrote: He hangs on to the ball allowing others to get up so we can pass the ball between us in close proximity. Amongst a bunch of very young players who have given their all, he's strutted around not giving a ****.

If we dont dump Allardyce now we are ****ed. With him we will be relegated and what he will leave us with then after we lose our better players will clearly be way off what us required to make us competitve in the Championship

I sort of agree with the comments about this being a nothing match given the league cup and our position but surely that can't excuse a passionless and unmotivated performance by everyone involved here today...
How can a manager manage to take out the passion and enthusiasm that an facup first team appearance should bring about naturally to any young player ...
That takes some doing to do that ....

I didn't expect anything other than a loss. It's a chance to blood the youngsters - i would not read too much into it.

Can everyone stop saying we played 3-5-2. That is a recognised formation. We played 3-6-1. Maiga was on his own by 20 yards half the game.
We are still trying the same tactic. Hit Maiga for the flick on or down the wing and cross to 1 player. It hasn't worked once and we are STILL trying it.
