Kouyate had another good game and fight better in both ends of the field, than anyone else.
Valencia had energy and a good first half.
Ginge does the things he can.

The rest disappointed us today, and Downing is a shadow of what he was earlier, played in the middle. Jenk and Cresswell have both lost momentum.

Really sad, sad changes from Sam! Song off to have Nolan on when we are one up. God help us...

Even if we conceded once again in overtime we should be pretty happy to go off the field with one point.
Having 35 percent possession at home against Stoke says it all...

Was this some sort of vengeance from Sam?

Sorry mate, we are just going to have to agreeto disagree. I've never played under or seen a manager make a double sub on 50mins at 1-0 up.

I totally get that people are p!ssed off with Sam and I agree with those who say his time is up. But my point still stands, sometimes the players need to look at themselves. With the exception of Collins, Cresswell and Kouyate for his effort we looked like a team on the beach.

It was the players who didn't give a toss today, some will just heap that on Sam as well and say it is a reflection of him, but for me a pro player should put a shift in regardless.

Time to go :crest:
This is how I feel as well. To go from Champs league spot at Christmas to (probably) bottom half of the table is a disastrous half season. Watching every other team have bundles more desire to win is embarrassing and boring, and inevitably this lack of desire leads to us conceding late goals far too often.

IMHO, I think Stoke have an overall better squad than us. Maybe not defensively, but up front and midfield they are more determined, quicker and creative. Yes, some of our players are better and cost more but overall , and I am sad to admit it, Stoke look stronger. Hughes seem to be motivating them to work really hard in every game, while some of ours are already in 3rd gear. Sam needs to kick a few backsides (ie. Downing) and threaten to drop them in the reserves - unacceptable. Looking at Burnley game and quite relieved that 2 of their players have been booked (we had 3 booked) so looks like we are still top of Fair Play League.

Radical idea I know but maybe we'd hold the ball better further up the pitch if more of our ****ing players were up there??

The only mitigating feature I can find is that we didn't lose. Which I fully expected to do.

Heading back now. The good: Creswell's free kick. Some witty chanting. Spurs losing
The bad: holy crap what a sack of **** we were. If stoke had any kind of attack we'd have been slaughtered. Bad sub taking Song off - they had masses of space afterwards. Noble my god, delays and delays and delays and gives the pass when it's either the wrong pass or the right pass far too late. Hoofing the ball up front over and over again - I don't think we won the ball once the entire game. 2 shots on target all game, 1 of them a free kick. That ****ing arse of a ref. Our complete inabilty to mark or track players - repeatedly losr Stoke players in front of the box. The huge gap between attack and midfield

Did i mention that we were ****ing awful?

On 90 minutes plus 4.5, all he had to do was control a ball played up to him wide right and keep it for around 10 seconds, but he couldn't, the ball was stolen off him, they broke down the right and you know the rest

It's one part of the toxic environment. Not very good in this kind of situation.

That was shocking.

Stoke weren't great and they deserved to win.

Today was the first time ever I was at a West Ham game and wanted to f*** off home...yet still didn't and was rewarded by another late conceded goal .

Feel really disappointed. Be glad when the season ends.

Sadly Downing's September to early December spell looks like a purple patch and he's back to his normal form of the last 5 or so years.
