Yes they are supplied by the academy. U11s I think. So whilst that kid showed exceptional control bringing the ball down in front of the run, I would expect nothing less!!
I love it when the crowd pick up on stuff like that, must of made his night. Bet he's re told it a million times in the playground on Friday

Re: West Ham Vs Lusitans ( First Leg ) - Match Thread
We were shocked and found it funny that at half time when we slipped out the ground for a quick ciggie, who did we find standing around having a ciggie instead of giving a team talk when they were 2-0 down? I have a photo but can't seem to upload a jpeg, but how can he moan about Bilic when he shows his own team a total lack of respect?

Great night, but with a few oddities...
Two blokes in the next seats to me arrived at half time and left ten minutes before the end - eh?
Why didn't the players have their names on their backs?
Why didn't the ref have his spray can for free kicks?
Why wasn't the match videoed for the big screens in the ground?
With such an entertaining match, why did so many people leave so long before the end?

I imagine the queue at the club shop was too long.Medoc wrote:Why didn't the players have their names on their backs?

The tube was absolutely ****ed before the match. My train should have pulled into Upton Park at 1920 but it did at 1950 and then I absolutely powerwalked down a packed Green Street getting to my seat in the STBU after 12 minutes, so it obviously inconvenienced loads of fans. Then the leaving early is understandable with it being a Thursday night and a very weak opposition side.Medoc wrote:Great night, but with a few oddities...

Could have been the trains, could have been stood somewhere else in the first half, many reasons.
Why didn't the players have their names on their backs?
Not needed for these qualifying rounds
Why didn't the ref have his spray can for free kicks?
Not sure about this, but again, I guess it has something to do with the lower standards of the qualifying rounds.
Why wasn't the match videoed for the big screens in the ground?
Pretty sure this is a UEFA stipulation and no coverage of the game is shown on the big screens. Could be wrong! Plus, they could not have put the feed that was streamed up on the big screens as it looked like the cameraman was filming from a boat at sea!
With such an entertaining match, why did so many people leave so long before the end?
Last 20 mins did start to drag a bit with all the time wasting, rolling around and cramp breaks, people had little kids there and some most likely just wanted a beer.
