I'm really looking forwards to the oppositions view from this one

Fully justified win after the kids were slaughtered in Romania and the first team rested.
Now its time to build some momentum and smash Leicester and Bournemouth.

The kids were hardly slaughtered Belchio... if anything they were unlucky with 2 quick goals... but thats in the past now ... we move onto Leicester

I can't remember an away end as good as that last season, not even whilst we were 2-0 up at WHL. Its days like this that make you happy and proud to be a hammer!

Well, Ronnie Biggs couldn't have planned a bigger robbery than that.
2 absolute gifts of goals from defending so bad it wouldn't be out of place in a pantomine.
40 out of 45 second half minutes with 11 men in own box. We didn't park the bus, we welding it to the goal frame.
The new boss, same as the old boss.

Re: Arsenal v West Ham United: Match Thread
What a very special afternoon.
Cracking atmosphere. After our 2nd I ended up 30 rows down towards the front. Complete unadulterated man hugging love going on. Will live long in the memory.
‘Are you watching Allardyce’ chant was a clear defining signal of what the support actually thought of the dinosaur. A pleasing statement.
The unity with the team coming over to thank the support was a marvellous sight. Real togetherness. Harmony has been restored between the team, manager and fans.
To a man the team were exceptional. The centre backs were different gravy, Noble and Oxford bossed the midfield. Sakho selfless running and workrate is a pleasure to watch, Payet is a proper player.
For all of those performances, man of the day was undoubtably Billic. Tactics, game plan, selection and approach was first class.
2 up front at the emirates and a 16year old starting in centre mid? Well done Slav … takes some guts. Brave decision.

I think that's very harsh on Zarate.RM6 wrote:Well, Ronnie Biggs couldn't have planned a bigger robbery than that.

.
Without his hunger, strength, intelligence and quick thinking, there would have been no second goal.

Only 4 West Ham players in this team of the week

The few TotW I've seen today and we've had about six of our eleven in them, strangely not seen Payet's name in one.

Is it only me who thought Adrian had an absoloute blinder of a game and really kept us in it during the first and second halves? Nobody I've spoken to who saw the game even gives him a mention.

No way did we "park the bus", we defended well but were always looking to break - very different to parking any sort of bus. In fairness, I haven't anyone else accuse us of this.RM6 wrote: We didn't park the bus, we welding it to the goal frame.
