9 days before the semi final.

Everton have an allocation of 32k so, presumably, does the winner of our QF.

64k seats sold and 28k available to God knows who. How many of them end up with Everton fans before we or ManU even know if we are playing?

They'll have over 60% of the crowd. Utter b*llocks.

How the hell would they handle it if we got through?
40,000 odd tickets to sell in eight working days.
I am going to join the queue now, just in case.

Edit, just seen everyone gets 31,500.
Why the hell so low?
who gets all the rest?

Tues 12th Man City v PSG
Thurs 14th Liverpool v Dortmund.

No domestic CL/EL tie on 13th.
Man City play PSG on 6 April. TV clash.

So the FA have capitulated to UEFA.
What a farce.
And has the FA's working closely with all parties concerned included fans - of course it hasn't.

****ing right it is. I had BA's booking page all ready to click "confirm flights" when the phone rang, the old man informing me that it was the 13th not the 6th. Literally 5 seconds away from booking the wrong dates.

Would personally find it hilarious if there was traffic chaos and they had to delay the KO until 7.45!

Everton will be pleased. Playing 2 mid weeks in a row before a semi final means whoever gets there is likely to be feeling a bit tired.

What a pile of steaming rubbish our website is, seem to have removed the client ref log in ( it is not available to me ), so cant log in to get ticket as I have always used this and have no idea what my userid is created it years ago and have no record, request password refresh and the email that the club send me mails to are not known !!!!!!!!! I think it was so long ago that I created this account that the email it was created with no longer exists so that is a waste of time as well. Go through the link and it queues and then goes white.

So, we can't play on the 6th, even at an earlier KO, because it clashes with a televised champions league game (Man City vs PSG)

However, surely there will be a televised champions league game on the 13th as well?

Or does it only count if the clash is with another English team?

Everton also play at Liverpool on the same night we play against Watford. That's one game they won't approach lightly!

mushy wrote:BT sport spent a fortune grabbing the rights to Champs league and part of the deal was that the games would be more spread out, with only two (or even one) on any particular night. They also insist that no other domestic televised games can be played on these sacred dates.
...........
Someone didnt think through this latest deal enough, they just took the money and ran.
Sadly its all about greed.
Except that the rule applies to every European country that participates in UEFA competitions and has been around long before BT won the rights. In April 2013 UEFA fined the FA £42,000 and withheld £1.1m in “solidarity payments” for allowing its fixtures to clash with the Champions League. Barcelona kicked off their midweek match against Sporting de Gijón at 5:30pm local time last month as it clashed with Champions League.

But choosing the 13th instead of the 6th is probably to appease BT though!

At 23:02 on 18 March whufc.com said the match was confirmed as being 6 April.

At 15:45 the following day we purchased our season ticket seats and the confirmation email said it was 6 April.

I'd love to know what point this became a provisional fixture again because it wasn't when we booked our tickets.

I don't know how you're even getting that far. I've been trying since 9:30 this morning, and all I get is either "you are in a queue" or "XML parsing error".

When I managed to get in yesterday, the Palace and Watford games weren't even listed

God knows what's going to happen if we win and they've got to process 31K tickets and get them all sent out in time for the semi - the MDF towers will probably spontaneously combust.

The FA could face a fine by UEFA then.

At the end of the day, it's all TV coverage politics.

With zero regard for the match-paying fans.
