Oh yeah, forgot about that, in which case I'll put Lanzini in the starting XI. And put Martinez and Quina on the bench.

I want to see this line up

-------------Randolph

Nord----Reid---ogbonna--cresswell

Feguili----Fernandez---obaing--Antonio

------------------payet

----------------Carroll

This team would flow against man united with a strong central midfield

But no doubt will be noble and obaing instead

good team that, though i'd have lanzini instead of fernandes. he's lightweight but can still nip in and make a tackle.

win lose or draw i have a feeling we'll see our first half decent performance at the toilet bowl since chelsea.

Will Demba Ba be fit to start if we sign him tomorrow? Or do we need to fit him a new leg first?

If we don't contain Ibrahimovic, they will rip us a new orifice...we must not show them too much respect going forward. Get in their face, wind them up...in reality, their quality in depth will be too much for us to handle, so we will have to settle for a lucky 2-1 win.. :crest:

If Ayew isnt available go without a recognised strikwr

----------Adrian-------(Randolph done nothing wrong I just prefer Adrian )

Nordveit Reid Ogbonna creswell

Then Lanzini, Fernandes, Obiang, Antonio, Payet and foughouli in some kind of formation (no idea what tbf)

If kouyate available stick him in instead of Fernandes

That midfield, apart from Obiang, couldn't tackle my aunt fanny.

Yep. Seriously lightweight. However with kouYate gone ad noble knackered, not many options.
find a right back and stick Nordveit in the middle in place of fernandes

Unfortunately I can't see us winning this one. But then I couldn't see us losing to Leicester, so WTF do I know ? 3-1 to Man Ure. :(

We've played these twice recently and both times they employed the long ball in behind our defence whilst having 4/5 runners across the pitch on to it. Nordtveit must be moved into (defensive) central midfield to assist the CB's and the additional late runners. Lanzini to get the nod over Noble because Lanzini has more pace and would be required to close down the Man Utd players and it is also a reason why I've chosen Fletcher to start for us. Carroll dictates the way we play so much going forward and right now it isn't working however bringing him on as an impact sub could be the way to manage him for this game and his overall game management going forward having just played two full games as well as giving us a plan b. Don't particularly want to play Fernandes at RB however there are a lack of other options unless Antonio fills in RB and Feghouli goes on the wing.

---------------------Randolph
Fernandes Reid Ogbonna Cresswell
---------------Nordtveit Obiang
------------------------Lanzini
Antonio-------------Fletcher------------Payet

If we play like we did today we'll get battered.

Our saving grace might be Payet actually giving a **** because it's against one of the big boys.

A 4-4-1-1

Randolph
Nordvielt-Reid-Ogbonna- Cresswell

Feghouli- Obiang- Fernandes-Antonio

Lanzini

Carroll

subs -Adrian- Payet-Noble-Fletcher-Martinez-Masuaku-Oxford

let Lanzi play just off of Carroll see how it goes for 65 minutes then bring on Payet if needed.
