Bedtime for you, Mr Motivator.Pentonville wrote: So I guess you won't be going to the match then, good! Put that young Haksabanovic in, or is there some dodgy caveat that says we can't play him either ?
Re: Tottenham Hotspur’s v West Ham United cup match thread
Noble has to start, this and a future games. Someone needs to sort some direction, organisation and workrate from our 11. Its not the time for primadonnas we need to roll up our sleeves and put in a shift to stop the rot.

No way they will be near full strength . This is n the middle of a run of games for them against Real Madrid, Liverpool and Manure . Therein lies our hope. If they are anywhere near full strength we are doomed
Personally I would give the rabble that played friday night a chance to redeem themselves but obviously Adrian ,Noble, Cresswell , Byram, Sakho etc will get a game . Possibly Carroll having missed friday..
Even Maiga scored in the league cup against these, so anythings possible

Dembele and Wanyama out which means we will struggle rest Winks or Dier but have to somehow, we only have one rotation centre back in Foyth. This is going to be a very tough for Spurs. Spurs used Rose as a midfielder for 10 mins against Madrid, I wonder if he will repeat this.
4-2-3-1
Vorm
Aurier
Foyth
Vertonghen
Walker-Peters
Rose (holding midfielder)
Sissoko
Nkoudou
Lamela
Son
Llorente
I would like him to try something like this or play Marcus Edwards but I suspect he will fall back more on the first 11.

If we play anything like we did on Friday, Llorente is going to murder us.
I guess we'll go with something along these lines
---------------------Adrian
Byram - Ogbonna - Collins - Cresswell
---------------Noble ----------Rice-------------
Antonio ---------------Fernandez ---------Masuaku
------------------------Carroll....
...because if we lose anyone else to injury, who would have been expected to have played at Palace, there will be even more problems in terms of our league campaign.
Frankly, Bilic and the club will gladly get beat in the 90 at Wembley, so long as we win a point or three at Selhurst Municipal Dump next weekend.

Haksabanovic for Fernandez and you may have called it there, although that team does not look like it has goals in itprophet:marginal wrote:If we play anything like we did on Friday, Llorente is going to murder us.

After Friday night that's about my level of optimism as well.Crouchend_Hammer wrote:Spurs will play a third string for this. Their fans couldn't give a **** about it. We will lose.
Forgetting a dross performance and eagerly awaiting the next display hoping for better seems to become harder the older you get, I suppose it's like a fatigue that sets in over a long period of time.
Plus I'm a miserable git.....

Re: Tottenham Hotspur’s v West Ham United cup match thread
Everyone says pick our strongest team. But what even is our strongest team? I would've considered the team good enough on paper last Friday. Look how well that went! It's the formation. We MUST play 3 at the back from now on, or suffer the consequences. Sadly this game will just be like any other game against any of the top 6-7 from the last year and a bit. We will concede a goal in the first half and just lay down and die, it has been the same since we finished 7th and I am quite frankly bored of it. If there is ever a game I would highly recommend a fan never to buy a ticket for, it's a game against one of the top 7. As we put zero effort in.
This would be my team:
-------------------------------------Adrian----------------------------------
---------------------Reid--------Kouyate--------Ogbonna------------
-Byram------------------Noble--------Rice---------------Cresswell-
-----------------------------------Lanzini----------------------------------
---------------------------Martinez---Carroll---------------------------
Subs: Hart, Collins, Masukau, Obiang, Antonio, Holland, Chicharito.

He has to put our strongest team out.
They take the piss he loses his job and I hope if that happens he does.
Who are we to rest players when the lazy c**** did f*** all on friday.
We ain't going to get top 6 so why not try to win a cup.

After Friday I'll be turn I am almost relieved that a seat amongst the Spurs fans hasn't worked out.
Even their reserves will be far too good for any random 11 we stick on the pitch. I can't bring myself to watch it on the box.

I don't think this will be any Spurs walkover. Those who play will play for a bit of pride and the shirt As I see it, you may as well be hung as a sheep for a lamb and f*** Sullivan, play Martinez and Haksabanovic, Rice too and let's see what happens. Stand up to him Slav and then walk and keep on walking . The fall out will be behind you and won't be your problem

Re: Tottenham Hotspur’s v West Ham United cup match thread
Watching a First division game against Leicester City at home in front of 12,000 fans in 1985 I wonder where some of these fans were through some of our history.West ham supporters used to represent something decent, solidarity, passion, we can't let these idiots with some distorted sense of entitlement to victory in every game ruin out heritage.

No idea about calling this one. Anywhere between 6-0 and 0-2
