You must be right Rio as I can't think of anything else which would cause the linesman to flag such as an offside or handball.

Not sure why intent keeps on coming up. Studs first, standing head height challenge to the face is dangerous whether you mean to catch someone or not. Not looking at the player only goes to prove that Francis raised his leg that high showing his studs with no regard to what was coming to him.

The opposition view shows just how biased fans can be towards their own club. Two of clearest wrong decisions you will see and they still claim the ref got them right. Though I imagine we would do the same.

FWIW, Dermot Gallagher on SSN said red card. Also said Wilson's goal was offside and handball. Couldn't understand why the ref didn't listen to his linesman or why they spent so long conferring.

Wow that opposition view is something. Not even a hint of they got away with it from anyone but the last post who tells it straight. The 'Francis boot wasn't that high' comment wow. It made contact with Kouytes face, he's 6 foot 2 aint he?

the kick in the face wasn't deliberate but reckless
Red card

The punch from King wasn't deliberate but reckless (although I think he could have pulled the punch)
Red card

9 v 11 and the offside wouldn't matter

After reflecting on yesterday’s pathetic excuse for a referee...I have been objective and impartial in my review, the Claret and Blue specs were off and I conspired and deliberated with the multiple personalities that consume my thinking in everything football.

I concluded, Madley is truly and deeply, a bent referee that bears a grudge...and as Paul Walker alludes to in his very good article on the matter, the club should be making noises to exclude him from officiating our games.

Yep....good read that.

If the linesman flags about 20 yards up the pitch, the ref blows and the free kick is taken without a fuss. Just because it resulted in going in the back of the net he decided to go and have a chin wag and over rule the linesman. How about we bin linesman altogether for Madely's games and let him make All the calls?

If he judged Wilson didn't touch it and Ake got the last touch then why was Wilson awarded the goal? What gives the ref the right to over rule an offside decision he cannot possibly call himself?

I seriously think he bottled it or had an ulterior motive for allowing it.

I was at a Hartlepool game perhaps 10 years ago where the lino flagged for offside and the ref from quite far down the pitch overruled him.

That was an awful decision and this one was just as bad. Perhaps worse given the handball.

We'd be 13th in the League now if it wasn't for Bent Madley
