Met a Liverpool season ticket holder in North Wales yesterday.
He wasn't confident at all about a result & said the press had been talking them up too much.....hope he's right

plenty to fear up front. plenty for them to fear with ours.
stick arnie on whoever is deputising for van dyke (matip, klaven and lovren are out) and give them a nightmare.
having been buzzing for a match like this in years.

Most Liverpool fans I've spoken to have said pretty much the same thing - I think a few teams are going to be worried about playing us this year. Personally I'm in the "who knows?" camp. Feels like we could win 2-1 or lose 5-0, anything could happenHeysel76 wrote:Met a Liverpool season ticket holder in North Wales yesterday.

So in the last 10 minutes i've just seen people on twitter saying Antonio has done his ACL (Ex says not true) and now people are saying Felipe Anderson is injured. I assume these are both just nonsense rumours?

After dreaming of Mrs Murphy across the road I then dreamed we won 7:1 and the slag was (not Mrs Murphy), the slag was.......it was £10m per goal for us
Re: Liverpool v West Ham Utd: match thread (12/8/18)
I'm really excited and REALLY nervous.
I think Liverpool are going to be brilliant and I also think it's gonna take us a while to grow into a Pellegrini side, so I'm expecting a very very hard game tomorrow. I hope to see us keep the ball better than we have done for a long old time though!

Not so much as concerned with how the match will go as I am just excited for the new season and how much different play will be from last season. COYI

I'm expecting to see us field 5 players on debut in the Premier League.
A point would be a stunning result.

I hope Antonio is not injured as there were doubts over yarmolenko as well. if both are out then I would put cresswell at LB and move Arthur forward .
still feel we can get a positive result but it will be a hard game for us.
worst game we could have started with
how come we never play at home on first game of the season, oh yes the athletics !!!

Early team news for those of you, like me, travelling up there. I won’t be sharing anymore than this though: There are 5 debuts in the starting 11 and we have a late fitness test on one player before the 11 is confirmed

Just the job. Keep Klopp guessing, he has no idea what he is facing this afternoon, neither do the Liverpool players and fans The player facing the late fitness test, has to be Yarmie, doesnt it ?Vienna wrote:ExWHUemployee

So 5 debuts? Fabianski, Balbuena, Wilshere, Fredericks and Anderson would be my guess.

Yeah if it's 5 I can't see Adrian keeping his place, as I'd wonder if Perez and Sanchez are likely to be anywhere near ready. So I make you right.Ludeksgloves wrote:So 5 debuts? Fabianski, Balbuena, Wilshere, Fredericks and Anderson would be my guess.

I can see
Adrian
Frederiks Balbuena Ogbonna Masuaku
Rice
Noble
Wilshere
Perez/Yarm Anderson
Arnie
5 league debuts, whether or not Yarmolenko is fit.
