This is a must win. I've got a score on us to win the cup outright and am looking forward to picking up my winnings late February.
Despite the bad start, I'm sure we're gonna win something this season :)

I’d give that Xande Silva kid a chance rather than Chicarito - last season he “did a Sakho” in cup games for us

If you enter the competition you enter to win.

So put out our best and strongest eleven available albeit Wimbledoom or Man City,

No experimenting go all out for the win and build first eleven confidence.

The sooner we go 5 at the back the better imo.
No offence but I don't think we should be playing with 3 CB and 2 Holding Mid against a league one side.

Cup competition so I'm going with a cup keeper , he's play every round we play.

Other than that I'm going with mostly first teamers assuming people are fit.

-----------------------------Sanchez--------Noble--------------------------

Yarmalenko----------------------Anderson---------------------Antonio

I'd go with:

-----------------------------------Adrian---------------------------------

-Zabaleta(c)------Balbuena---------Diop--------Cresswell-

---------------------------Rice------------Obiang-----------------

-Yarmolenko-----------------Wilshere---------------Holland-

------------------------------------Perez----------------------------

Subs: Trott, Ogbonna, Masuaku, Cullen, Snodgrass, Silva, Hernandez.

Give Adrian, Zabaleta a run out and to have expereience in the team. Keep Diop and Balbuena together so they can build an understanding of each other and will then hopefully be ready for the Wolves game. Cresswell and Yarmalenko to get more minutes so they can get fitter. I would've played Rice centre half, but as I mentioned, I want Diop and Balbuena to get use to playing together. So he comes in to effectively replace Sanchez who I would rest before the Wolves game. If Rice can't at least look convincing their against a League One team what hope has he got? Obiang to play next to him anyway to help him. I haven't just picked Obiang to get some minutes. I have also done it as I want him to be the only change for the Wolves game. I want him to come in for Wilshere. Wilshere has done okay, but I believe we need more steel and, height, physical presence and protection for our centre halves. So playing Obiang will hopefully shake off the rustiness and get him ready for Saturday. Especially as we are playing the same formation. I don't think it's his best position, but I'd play Wilshere in attacking midfield behind the striker. To replace the resting Anderson. Wilshere probably shouldn't play 2 matches in 1 week, so if he doesn't start on Saturday you might as well play him here. Perez to also play as he may also need to come into the team for either Arnie, or Antonio if either, or both don't make the Wolves game. So would make sense to give him match practice and to hopefully get his confidence up if he can maybe get a goal. Holland to get a deserved chance too, who for me has been our most promising youngster after Rice. Let's see what he can do.

Mixture on the bench with Trott as back up goalie, Cullen to come off the bench and play 20-30 minutes if we can actually wrap a game up against a lower League team for a change, and Silva who has been on fire for the u23s. Plenty of experience with: Ogbonna, Masuaku, Snodgrass and Hernandez should we need them.

My team for Wolves at the moment:

--------------------------------------------Fabianski-----------------------------------------

-Fredericks----------------Balbuena--------------Diop------------------Masukau-

--------------------------------Sanchez--------------Obiang----------------------------

-Snodgrass-----------------------------Anderson----------------------------Antonio/Perez-

-------------------------------------------Arnie/Perez--------------------------------------

Subs: Adrian, Zabaleta, Ogbonna, Wilshere, Yarmalenko, Perez/Cresswell, Hernandez.

As mentioned previously as long as everyone is fit the only change is Obiang for Wilshere, which is harsh on Wilshere, but the only way I can see us having more of a defensive balance.

I reckon Antonio barring any set backs will be ok for this game. Arnie Sod's law is the one I think we'll be sweating over whether he'll be fine for this game. But that's the only other change I'd make. Perez for either of those 2 if they God forbid miss out. We haven't really got anyone who can play on the left apart from the inexperienced Holland. But if he has a stormer against Wimbledon who knows. The only other thing you can do is move Masukau left wing and play Cresswell left back. And I'd prefer to pick Perez as the sole striker to replace Arnie over Hernandez who IMO can't do that job. Otherwise perhaps take a gamble and play Yarmalenko up front as the sole striker, in the hope he can repeat what Arnie did when we moved him upfront.

With the bad start we can’t afford to play a weakened side - put out the strongest possible side to win the game and then keep that for Wolves at the weekend,

Confidence breeds confidence.

I just want Pellers to take it seriously. I've had enough of managers like Moyes and Alladyce throwing cup ties.

My viewpoint as well. A win is a win, but a defeat, no matter what team is put out, is only going to deepen the gloom.

I’d play
Adrian
Zabaleta. Balbuena, Diop, Cresswell
Rice, Obiang
Yarmolenko Holland
Silva. Perez

I’d give Some time to Sanchez, and Chicharito unless it is a blowout in which case I’d play more of the U23s

This feels like a nice opportunity to get a mix of players some time and experience together. So playing time for the fringe, but also get a few of the new players in to build comfort.

---------------------Adrian-----------------
Zabaleta----Balbuena----Diop-------Cresswell
------------Rice--------Obiang-----------
Yarmolenko---------------------------Holland
-----------Chicharito------------Perez

Subs: Trott, Oxford, Masuaku, Silva, Cullen, Antonio

Gets Adrian/Cresswell/Rice/Obiang time as they eventually will probably make some appearances (injury etc.) let Balbuena and Diop develop some chemistry, same with the Yarmo/Chicharito/Perez trio. Then slide off Chicharito or Perez for Silva, and one of the other 2 for Antonio or Cullen and get Oxford in for one of the CBs. Get them their work then get them off the pitch so they're still fresh for the weekend

I hope we take this seriously. We need to start winning games and this would be a good game to get our season up and running.

I see SKY have picked us for the live game on Tuesday night, sniffing an upset no doubt.

I would start Adrian, Cresswell, Perez, Obiang, Rice, Yarmolenko. We should be good enough to win with any other combination of first team players making up the rest of the side.
