Must admit I am confused by the main story on the homepage when what I read Pellers said he has been training all week.

Same here, I ready Pellegrinis comments as he’s fit and ready!

I don't think Pellegrini understood what the Sky reporter was asking. The reported asked if he was out for Saturday and he replied yes, then went on to say he's been training fine all week etc.

i think there are 6 players that pick themselves currently (based on arsenal & dons game)

fabianski, fredericks, wilshere, sanchez, anderson, arnie

i think every other position you can have a debate about.

centre backs...ogbonna surely doesn't retain his place, too many errors? diop had a good game against wimbledon, but not great against arsenal. does rice come in alongside balbuena? could we go with the youngsters of diop and rice, or does balbuena have to start to add experience? who is he paired with.. i'd go with same again in the hope diop keeps improving and they can continue to develop their cb partnershp.. balbuena & diop

left back...we all know this debate... a question of defence vs. attack...we're at home, against a promoted team, i'd like to favour the attack minded left back... masuaku

AML and AMR... snodgrass works hard, good from set pieces, pellers clearly likes him, played well last two games. antonio gives athleticism, power, which can put defenses under pressure and stretch the lines, creates more space for anderson. yarmolenko clearly the most technically gifted of the options, but started his first hame since january mid-week. is he fit enough yet? undoubted starter down the line in my book, but could be more effective as a second half sub at this stage? Perez the weakest of these four for me right now, but not writing him off by any stretch, but based on displays so far he is behind the other three... i personally would go with Antonio and Yarmolenko (Yarm can only get match fit with minutes under the belt and if he isn't fit enough for 90, you have two great options off the bench in snodgrass and perez)

-------------fabianski-----------------
fredericks diop balbuena masuaku
---------wilshere sanchez------------
yarmolenko anderson antonio
-----------------arnie* ----------------

*obviously if arnie isn't fit, only one option in hernandez

Main memory of playing Wolves at home*

• Happy Clappers
• kids for a quid
• torrential freezing rain
• Upson hanging Tomkins out to dry
• Matt ****ing Jarvis
• Franco outplaying everyone for about 7 minutes
• Zola looking like he wanted to cry

Main memory of a game against Wolves at home - On the pitch after Brady (Liam not Karren) scored in the last minute of his last ever match...

I don't understand why Wilshere is everyone's automatic pick. I've seen very little from him so far to suggest he's going to improve our midfield significantly. I'm not saying 'he's rubbish' after 3 games, just not sure why he seems immune from rotation. At the moment Snodgrass is contributing much more, yet he seems the first one to be left out (on fans teamsheet not Pells)

Can I just say that I haven't a clue what the result will be.

We're getting better....getting there....but this is West Ham!

I'm hoping the win on Tuesday will mean the players buy in to pell's ideas wholeheartedly. It's the first time for years I've seen us move the ball around confidently, and I hope we can carry that into this game. I totally agree, could be any score/result.

Both Arnie and Big Mik were both guilty v Arsenal of not seeing each other when played through with only Czech to beat but with the other player being in a better position to score. Both occurred in the first half; the first being when Arnie was played through by Snodders after great work by Fredericks. As Arnie shot into the side netting Antonio was clear in acres of space and would IMO have had a better scoring opportunity. The second was when Anderson put Mik through and he had his shot saved. In this case Arnie was free and clear and would probably have scored.

They both need to get their heads up should these situations repeat v Wolves..

I rate Wilshere and think he should be in the starting line up, but I think it's more a sign of how short we are in that position than him being immune.

Think this might be a score draw, maybe 2-2.

Can see it being a good game, unfortunately I will be surprised if we get all three points. Horrible to think like that when playing a newly promoted team!

Wonder if Dendonker will play.... :scarfer:

Its amazing how important that man is now, especially when you consider how things were 12 months ago!

Love the attitude he shows on the pitch, reminds me of Di Canio or even Cantona. Proper swagger!
Cant wait for the big players we signed along with Arnie and Lanzini to get into full flow!

There's always room for a moody maverick if he performs on the pitch.

Glad (or sad, maybe, for the other poor souls) I'm not the only one who sees Tomkins trying a blind and ultimately scuffed backpass every time someone mentions playing Wolves.

Every time anyone does one of those passes, I see it all happening again.

Already a massive game so early on.
It could dictate the tone for the rest of the season.
We really need to win, but my money's on draw.
