Respect the point? This isn't Man City at home its Leicester away!
You are all Sam Allardyce and I claim my £5!
We should still try to win this game...if we set up for a draw then we will lose.

Any other Hammers staying the night in Leicester? Any good nightlife spots to be aware of?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Long odds I would imagine on any of them ever scoring on a regular basis from open play in any Premier League game. Lack of goals will be our downfall this season unless Arnie gets someone to share the load. As things stand, two goals conceded will be enough to beat us, even one on really bad days as has happened in the last two games.hammerman11 wrote:apart from arnie who from the front 6 is going to score or create ?

The central three has been working well defensively but going forward I think Anderson needs to play as a no.10, so i'd set up as:
Fabianski
Zabaleta - Diop - Balbuena - Cresswell
Noble - Rice
Diangana - Anderson - Masuaku
Arnautovic
Pace and technical ability going forward

Re: ⚽ Leicester City v West Ham Utd: match thread (27/10)
Our issue in in terms of scoring does stem from that midfield three in my opinion.
Yarmolenko (although now injured), Anderson and Arnautovic are all more than capable of hitting 8+ goals.
The issue is that the midfield three of Obiang, Noble and Rice will realistically only hit 4 goals between them, the other issue is how many assists they will provide. We’re relying heavily on our front three both creatively and in terms of scoring.
We need to find a way to drop one of the current midfield three in favour of someone who will contribute more in the final third.
Fabianski
Zabaleta Diop Balbuena Masuaku
Rice Obiang
Arnautovic Snodgrass Anderson
Hernandez

Hernandez cant play up top on his own, will have to be a two with arnie. also you don't move our best player to accommodate a player who does little most games. that makes us weaker overall

We're reduced, quite badly, by injuries. We could win, for sure, but the odds are against it.

A point away from home is never a bad result, when you have recruited poorly and already face your first or is it second injury crisis of the season, to expect much more is ambitious.
Vardy fit to play I believe.

Weird game this one. They aren't actually all that good and on paper player for player we probably edge it. Hasn't been a great game for us in recent history - last year's 4 out of 6 points is eclipsed by the 1 out of 18 in the previous 6.
Still if the diving one trick pony is still sick we should definitely be looking for all 3 points IMO.
The big question for me is Antonio, Snodgrass, Diangana or Hernandez in for Yarmalenko? Not sure I'd want to go 2 up top against this lot, and if I did it would have to be someone who could cope with their physical defensive style so not Hernandez for me. Pellers sounded like he was going to plump for Snodgrass, especially if Obiang is back. Would like to see Diangana get at least half an hour though.

Lose tomorrow and it is 7 defeats in 10 league games. I am afraid, irrespective of a tough start, that a return such as that is simply not good enough.
Tomorrow is not a must win game, but in my view it is a must not lose game.

I'd take a draw tomorrow, but we must beat Burnley.

Hopefully we've been humbled by the last couple of games and learned a few things.
We know we can play and create, there appears to be strong team unity, but that wondeful drive from the Everton, Chelsea and Utd games wasn't there.
I reckon this game will be the beginning of fun run up to Christmas!

A one regular goalscorer team like ours doesn't leave me with much confidence that we will win many games until that deficiency is put right. No room at all for defensive mistakes is a tall order for any team so lacking in goalscorers.

I want some of what you are indulging in. If that does happen, I will get myself arrested by walking into my local naked and kissing the barmaid. Fortunately for me, and unfortunately for the Hammers, i can't see us scoring four, we would be struggling to score more than one, against any top flight team at the moment. Severe lack of goalscoring options. The Old Man of Storr wrote:The Voices have just spoken and they're saying ....

I’d like to see us keep a clean sheet whatever the score line
Diop & co at the back keep improving every week - can’t remember the last league game we didn’t concede???

Good news for us if he can't play.
Not ill, he's been dropped. He'll be on the bench I think. Sounds like it's not a happy camp there.
