Arnie, Anderson & Grady got that tiki taki going on 5 yard pinball!
Diop is as dominant as Van Dyke
Rolls Royce Rice
Zaba is the Inspirational Capt. we need, well respected by all Savvy Zaba
Why did Ob1 get subbed?
Very dynamic going forward, just wish Anderson gambled more or sprints off 1 2's, he seems to dip in & out inconsistently. More aggression ala Grady who kept going at their LB, that dead stop drag back on the line was WC.

Thats a fair point..against Leicester we conceded two or three headers that went very close. Quite why Snodgrass was left to mark Wood at the corner though...
not a general criticism just observations on yesterday..
they hardly dominated as in they scored a header, had one off the crossbar and there was another early doors that I think it was Vydra almost got a head to because of the initial header was won.
happy camper after yesterday but as usual making notes from the game.

didn't mean it to come across as petty mate....
understand what you are saying.....I would like to think that Pellers set them up differently for corners and free-kicks and they go over the game film and realise the problems..no way Snodders should have been marking Wood.
they seem to have sorted out the corner taking problems.....
I still don't get that free kick routine though........both have a great delivery it's only about less than a yard away so I don't see that the angle changes dramatically.......I'd just whip it in. worked last week but hasn't looked even close to doing that in any other games we've tried it...
Snodders on Wood is a massive mismatch isn’t it. At that point they had a few big lads on, the 2 CB’s plus Wood and I think it was Barnes at that point? After our CB’s it’s probably Rice then Snodgrass? That’s something we need to look at for the Huddersfield match because outside of set pieces I don’t think they are particularly threatening, we need to concentrate, keep our shape then take our chances when they come.
Re the free kicks, I agree, I am happy to see we are trying different things from set pieces. We seem to have tried a fair few different things recently with very differing results.
First off, congrats to Burnley. Defence-wise we switched off just a few times yesterday (FWIW I counted it as 4 'switch-offs' all game) and they scored two and hit the crossbar with a third. Exceptionally good finishing and a job well done.
Second, see one. Hard to concentrate and be perfect for 90 + mins, but we are consistently letting our back four drift off their markers and move towards ball carriers in the 18 yard box. Snodgrass probably shouldn't be man-marking someone with a few inches on him at corners. Would honestly like to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
Third, lots of good things happening yesterday. Hard to know where to begin.
Great to see Obiang back - I'm like a broken record in that I've been banging on about him for ages, but I think the bloke is absolute class. He's the key to us breaking up most of what comes our way. Valid criticism of him is mostly that he needs to take a chill pill every time he gets sight of goal within 30 yards.
Snodgrass much improved. Enjoy watching him play.
Arnie. He was having words with Tarkowski a few times prior to his goal yesterday. Nearly peed my pants laughing when he gave Tarkowski the biggun after he scored. Arnie acts like one of my moody, sulky teens on a bad day. Really enjoy watching him play.
Diangana. Did very well but at times he just plain lost the ball too easily. My space telly feed had Tony Gale doing the colour, Galey absolutely raved about him and thinks he played amazing. I'll take Galey's expert insight and keep an eye on him.
Diop collides with one of their players but some players seem to be in zonal marking (Cresswell & Balbuena to name) in fact Zaba and Chicharito are there too that's 4 of ours marking 2 of theirs, and it leaves Snodders to "mark" Wood..
Very strange as to why Diop is outside the framework of the goal, no one on the line.....maybe Balbuena is marking the other bloke in front of Fab......
It was a mess wasn’t it. I think Zabaleta had just gone off then on so maybe we were all over the place because of that? Just glad it didn’t cost us this weekend and hopefully we learn from it!
First game at the LS where every time we got the ball, we looked threatening and looked like we could create something. Our front three were excellent, Anderson and Arnie look to be forming a proper understanding of each other, and young Diangana i thought had an excellent game, always looked forward when he got the ball and was not scared to take on his man, played a few lovely balls through and was majorly involved in the second and third goals, as well as he should've won a penalty.
Another assuring performance from the midfield, just need to stop gifting goals like we do.
I know what people are saying about organisation but Burnley had at least 5 big lumps on the field at that time. We had only Diop and Balbuena who you would consider aerially strong. If i’m Chris Wood standing in the middle of the goal and Diop comes across to mark me then I trot away to somewhere else leaving the middle of the goal for Tarkowski, Mee, Vokes, Barnes etc.
We probably will concede goals from corners (imo) because we don’t have the height. The flip side is that those players we do have should instead be able to score more at the other end than we concede.....
I know that’s a bit simplistic but any different action we took would presumably lead to Burnley taking other action too...?

but Balbuena was nowhere to be seen....maybe he's on the bloke in front of Fab...
Thats where he was, I remember the corner before questioning why Balbuena was the man marking the player on the keeper, then we put the first corner out for another, and they score the resulting corner.
Would make much more sense having Snodgrass marking the player on the keeper and Balbuena marking one of their aerial threats.
