No one is more pro attack than me. As much as I hated Big Sam and his dull, respect the point attitude, Pellers needs a dose of tactical realism here.
Playing 4 attackers away at Chelsea was over ambitious and a disaster tactically.
One of them has to be replaced by the effort of Snodders so that Rice and Noble don't get over run.

Now Balbuena is back, i would experiment a little and have a look at a 3-4-2-1/5-2-2-1 depending on how you view the positions of the wingbacks.
GK - Fabianski
RCB - Diop
CB - Balbuena
LCB - Ogbonna
RWB - Fredericks
CM - Rice
CM - Noble
LWB - Masuaku
AM - Lanzini
AM - Anderson
STK - Arnautovic
3 at the back should in theory mask some of our deficiencies in Central Midfield by adding extra protection behind them, while allowing Anderson and Lanzini to play more centrally meaning we have 3 or 4 bodies in there when going forward.
It's time to start planning towards next season so I'd start Fredericks and Masuaku at Wing Back who are both more dynamic going forward than either Zabaleta and Cresswell and again should both benefit from the added security of a third CB.

Can't argue with that.

Can I just say that I know exactly how this match is going to go.......................
Re: ⚽ Man Utd v West Ham Utd: match thread (13/4)
The problem with the Chelsea game was the shape, not the people in it. We would be a killer team if we played Lanzini as one of the 2 more forward thinking midfielders in a 4-3-3.

Fabianski
Zabaleta Balbuena Diop Johnson
Snodgrass Rice Noble
Antonio Hernandez Lanzini
Get our best Centre Back pairing back again, our best Right Back and the new kid on the block who impressed so much away in Manchester again recently. We also need players in the middle prepared to put in a shift and reinstate Antonio who's been unfairly sidelined recently for others less deserving. Hernandez remains our best bet for a goal up front right now more than anyone. Lanzini will come good again at some point and Anderson looks well off the boil himself. Nasri I'll assume is still injured.

not the game for zaba as he will get skinned by rashford, martial lakaku Lingard.
lanzini needs a rest in my opinion as just back from injury.
fab
fredericks Balbuena diop Johnson
noble rice Snodgrass
Antonio arnie Anderson
subs trott cresswell ogbonna masuaka Hernandez Coventry diagana
give the kids some experience on the bench.
whatever team we put out we will lose. at least we can match them for pace at the back.
midfield looks lacking in pace though
who knows which head arnie has on
can anderson be bothered to have a real go
loads of questions and for once not looking forward to it. only chance we have is that they are thinking of barcelona next week but that is not until weds. a good 5-0 win will help their confidence !

perfect time to play them. the anti-mourinho effect has diminished and they don't seem to have any real leaders to move them on after a defeat. hopefully.
at home, i can't see them sitting back and trying to get us on the break, so if we are aggressive and disrupt them early it might work in our favour.
this would be easier with another tough midfielder of course.

Fredericks must start for me.
Obiang, Perez, and Arnie shouldn't even get minutes from the bench.
Bring on Diangana, Coventry, and Johnson in the 2nd half no matter the score. It's time to start blooding the kids in. It's not like the difference in winnings money from 9th to 15th is going to affect our summer transfer budget so why not chuck the kids on and tell the two mercenaries up front who don't care to f*** off.
