pAat
this is what I don't understand about VAR
the Kane goal I think it was that was allowed the other week.
no way was it clear and obvious even after about 10 different looks
I went to the FIFA or EUFA website and copied the VAR thing off.
it does say clear and obvious. i.e. at the speed the game is played a handball or foul or that can be missed.
if Rashford had scored that one he put over the bar, there were 4 of theirs offside and even Rashford I think it was when he headed it might have been offside. no flag. so where does the VAR help ? the drag by Jones on Lanzini at the corner, he might have got to that ball. would it have gotten a penalty ? my guess would be no although in review it was a hold and should have been given. I think a lot like the WC we'll see those given early doors and then like the 6 second goalie holding onto the ball, will go the way of the dinosaur.

Rice dominated the midfield pretty much on his own. It was an odd game in that our defence + Rice was strangely secure and pretty tight. There were a few in the front six who were a bit hit and miss or unremarkable.Cuenca 'ammer wrote:strange to find no expression of love for Noble today..
thought he, along with Rice and Snoddy ran the midfield over 90 minutes.
Noble free, Rice free, Snoddy 10M
Pogba 90M, Fred 50M, Mata 30M
Masuaku, Antonio, Balbuena, Ogbonna. Zabaleta were excellent. Anderson and Lanzini had their moments, the former being the better of the two. No one was dire.

Mata is surely looking at a two-match ban for diving?

Yeah exactly Cuenc that’s another perfect example. It will help the “big clubs” IMO not everyone else.

bubbs
Masuaku 82 touches and 89% pa
Rice 68 touches and 88%
Snoddy 74 touches and 87%
Noble 79 touches and 85%
Fred 70 and 91%
Pogba 85 and 78%
Mata 38 and 85%
I know that doesn't tell the whole story but I thought that our midfield 3 of Snoddy, Noble and Rice were excellent.
Noble for once didn't slow the game down when the ball came to him and kept the momentum going I thought brilliantly. Snoddy probably did his work a little higher up the field and Rice working somewhere between the two.

Liverpool offside goal
Man City penalty
Man Utd penalty, out goal disallowed for offside, their penalty attack allowed for offside.
6 points cost for us right there but we aren't the ones the rest of the world want to see. The Premier League is utterley corrupt and the way to try and keep the gravy train chugging along is to feature the clubs that Asia etc want to see.
Cardiff, for all their faults, have been well and truly ****ed over this season. Like we were in our last season at the Boleyn.

West Ham’s official social media outlets posting that they are disgusted with a video that’s been circling about apparently. Anyone know what that’s all about?

Given everything that's been going on with racism in football, and Chelsea the other night, you have to be an absolute moron to sing stuff like this. Idiots dragging down our fantastic away support.

Cretins. Knuckle-dragging cretins.
Guess it remains to be seen if they were actually our support, but that sh*t makes my skin crawl. I can remember being stood at the hotel bar before the 2006 final and hearing some of ours bellowing that bullsh*t out for one verse. The young girls serving shot them a look, and they all crawled back into their shells. Disgusting.
