Far better second half. Antonio not half the player Hernandez is but his application and movement is causing them far more problems. Also Wilshere is keeping the ball in a way Lanzini and Cullen did not.

We look desperate any time Newcastle have the ball out wide.

Cresswell gives it away by being an absolute half assed dick. Seriously dislike everything about the way he plays

Useless Sanchez losing the ball again.

I imagine it was more a cricticism of him playing there than the player himself.

Numerous people have said Antonio can ‘do a job’ for us up front, so we don’t really need another striker. Games like this prove that is simply not true.

EDIT: just reread you post, seems we agree! Should read more carefully next time...

Given he's supposed to be just a shuttler, moving the ball around, doing literally nothing fancy - the amount of times he's caught in possession is criminal.

I honestly think Snodgrass would do better there.

These are Ogbonna's ratings as per Kumb's match threads for each of the last games he's participated in.

What constitutes as "the odd game"? He's never been bottom of the ratings in any of them.

Perhaps if he had a better midfield in front of him, he wouldn't end up being so exposed and under pressure as he is.

Perhaps you are right about the midfield,

As I said, he has the odd game where he’s brilliant, but not so consistently - unlike Diop and Balbuana who always show up. He also isn’t as good at playing the ball out as he thinks he is and misplaces quite a few passes in my opinion.

I would also suggest that of other players, so how he performs in comparison to those around him is both useful, but besides the point.

Also far from a hate figure, he’s one of the few players I’ve met and he was a lovely fella. Just think that there are better players we could get.

That's exactly what I am saying.

He can't play there. To me it's no difference to lumping a centre half up there for the past 10 minutes.

Sanchez has to be a wind up surely, there is a reason he has played for six clubs in 4/5 years as he is absolute dog

That’s actually a very good shout. Pongo has the work rate and technical ability to play deeper.

We've gone quiet again since Anderson left the field.

New manager bounce .

We beat these twice with ease last season when it mattered. The only worrying thing for me is some of the same old habits from the same old players. I don’t particular expect them to change, but LB is going to be an issue again, yet doesn’t seem like it’s a position we will address.
