Cresswells touch and ability really shows him up now we have a more technically gifted side. He slows things down. Cannot interchange aswell. Checks back. Will not play a ball until it can be whipped into to no one in particular and hopes someone can connect. Always seems to fall asleep to balls played in behind him.

Some lovely quick stuff played today.

Haller reminds me of a Carlton Cole/Lukaku hybrid with a brain and bit of pace.

Think it will be a very entertaining season. That 10-1 for no 0-0 draws looks a good bet :)

We don't need a central midfielder and a defender though! :P

I am getting more and more less optimistic for next season with every passing friendly we are that sh*t defensively.

The only positives to take out if that half was:

- our front 3 seem to have a good understanding already;

- Fredericks;

- Wilshere (attacking wise);

- Rice.

How the hell is Cresswell still in the team let alone captain!? Honestly he is awful! And the scary thing is it likes likely he will start the season. Yes I know Masuaku returned late from the ACON, but how is he suppose to get match fit if Pellers keeps leaving him on the bench and not giving him a lot of minutes!? :eh:

Roberto is certainly making Adrian look good now. And looks like overtaking the likes of Randolph as one of our worst goalkeeper signings. He just doesn't look like saving anything! And it's why I stressed so much early in the summer why it's important to have a decent back-up Keeper. Never arrogantly assume Fabianski will play every match and be fit all season, as that is a very dangerous game to play! And if his injury is for forbid bad right now, then I really am nervous starting the season with Roberto in goal.

Cresswell & Roberto will rightfully get a lot of the criticism but I also thought Diop has been poor. What the hell was he doing for their 2nd goal!?

The goals we have been leaking is still backing up my argument I have made plenty of times before that we haven't get the right balance. We cannot play Both Wilshere, Fornals and Lanzini. One of them at least needs to be dropped for another central midfielder who can add more defensive cover. Failure to realise that error will result in a similar bad start to next season like last season IMO.

Yes sure, that's exactly what we were all complaining about. That we don't let enough goals in and need to start conceding more! :P

Yep and I love it. Give me this over the awful stuff Allardyce served up each and every time. Even if it meant bottom half or relegation. Football is about being entertained, stuff what league it is in.

Dave Snr, hopefully thinking that we could do with a little reinforcement ahead of next week's transfer deadline.

Spot on. I'm loving it.

The Spunk Twins can't/won't pay to upgrade the whole team at once. So either we need to concentrate on trying to beat teams or trying to not get beaten. I know which I prefer.

He is probably thinking that we will manage at least 17th without him having to spend any of that lurverly lolly that he got from selling all those players.

Does anyone care?

He will never play for us or any other Premier League team. Will be one of those players who ends up in league 1 or 2.

Cant wait to he is finally of the payroll.

Balbuena, Wilshere & Anderson off. Snodgrass, Yarmalenko and the ever reliable Ogbonna are on.

I have to say Pellers is handling Masuaku very oddly. He hasn't played a lot of minutes in the past few games since being back and won't even get a 45 minutes today. Don't understand what he is trying to achieve from this.

Love that photo of Yarmolenko, if not only for Zaba's "PHWOAAARRR" facial.
