So every penalty has to be retaken if there’s a foot in the area, but will they? I’m done, it’s just nonsense :thdn:

Football was destroyed way before VAR but i think it is the torpedo that kills those treading water

So Var was introduced for the big clubs so they could keep taking penalties until they score it.

VAR has been spot on.

That offside goal would’ve been given last season but that penalty wouldn’t have been retaken so it’s probably evened itself out.

Agree. Used to always have time for Man City & Their fans. Now hate them on all counts. Don't think I ever saw a Football fan wearing a Man City shirt where I live unless West Ham were playing them that day. Now I see loads every where.

Not been a total disaster, Noble has been missed.

And the media will rejoice in the moneybags top teams scoring 4 or 5 every week, with a lazy VAR debate to add to the mix.

Football really is dead these days, this game has been a complete waste of everyone’s time, the city players are hardly even celebrating.

The penalty was retaken for encroachment - lets see how many more, for the big 6, are retaken for that reason or vice versa

I know it's City, but I've seen nothing to suggest we won't concede as just as many goals as last season.

The full-time whistle can't come soon enough for West Ham now. It's a depressing finale to a day that began with plenty of optimism. There are five more minutes of pain to go yet, decides the fourth official.
