Brighton looked pretty handy I thought. More impressed by their actual play than in some of the leatherings they’ve given us recently.

It’s just a little bit embarrassing to get dominated by such a poor side. And it’s always us who does. Everton, Leicester, Watford and Wolves don’t go away to Brighton and cling on for an underserved point.

Playing badly and picking up a point?

Give me that over playing well and getting nothing, which we have done on many occasions.

Not happy with the performance, but hey ho. No point dwelling on it.

I know it. That was not a good transfer window and you get a pointer to the season ahead from the pre-season's matches and even a blind man could see the deficiencies then

Being fair to the board, when they said 'next level' they didn't specify the direction.

If it happens just once, then Oh well, even twice. But that is now 5, that's right FIVE Straight games against Brighton & Hove Albion.

But again, some on here are happy because we played bad but got a point. .

How many times does pell have to start Hernandez up top alone to realise it doesn't work?

Also if Antonio stayed on his feet rather than looking for the pen we could have had a 2nd i think.

Lanzini was a cut above today and he always has been one of our best players. Best ball carrier we have. Any more debates about his place in the side should be laughed at.

We’re a mid table team and have no right to turn our nose up at an away draw.

Didn’t sound a great performance but sometimes the result is the main thing.

As been said, without dealing with the pace and energy problem in this team we wont finish higher than 10th.

Put it in context by reading SH's last few posts. He has been a little mischievous since the final whistle.

We clearly lacked confidence after the mulling last week. 4 players missing from that team that got spanked didn’t help. We need our captain on the pitch to provide leadership - this team is oddly fragile mentality. Antonio and Lanzini looked good though. Happy to take a draw. The most worrying thing for me is how, even in the second half, we seldom played like a team and all the attacking flair came from individual
players.

A good point away at a decent Premier League team.

Having said that, I think our Transfer window was poor and didn’t go anywhere near addressing our actual issues.

Snodgrass playing in the centre of midfield and Hernandez up front on his own are things that we should have seen last season and been able to avoid by the 2nd game of the new season.

We’ll be fine, but my god does Declan Rice need some help.

Agree with us being mid-table & still somewhat confused at how a fair few on here have had us down for a top 7 or better season.

Cant recall which poster it was but before the season had started he/she said top 4 was a good possibility as they think a few of the big 6 such as Chelsea, Man United & Arsenal would have poor seasons.

I'm not so sure.

Stick Haller and Anderson into our line up and I think we win that, especially if Pellegrini limits the number of 'lightweight playmakers' in the centre.

I felt we competed well on the deck but they had a huge aerial advantage that they failed to exploit. Normally, Duffy or Dunk seem to score against us, as well as Murray.

I don't think it was good enough and we have the quality to win these games now. Watford next week is already looking a must win if we want to compete for 7th. These are the games we now need to start moving away from being happy with a point.
