Snodgrass: Highest number of assists and key passes last season.
I'm going to keep regurgitating this on every match thread until people believe it. I don't care how boring it gets.

3-2 West Ham
Masuaku injured in 5 mins ..Cresswell comes on
Norwich goals a drop kick from goalkeeper and a measured 50 yard volley from their left back
Both goals will be be blamed on Cresswell by many on here
Its in the stars

The stat I want to hear is if Payet *still* has the highest number of key passes for the club since 2016.Morocco Mole wrote:Snodgrass: Highest number of assists and key passes last season.

There must be some irredeemable nerd on here who knows?
Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Norwich City: Match Thread
Grant Hanley injured and out of the game tomorrow.
Zimmerman declared fit though.
Strangely, enough that probably improves their defence.

Funny you should say that, because I see a 4-3 win for usJon wrote:2 sides who love to attack and are hopeless in defence.
If there aren't 6 goals in this I'll be asking for a refund....

Ok, how’s he doing so far this season? I count three games played, no goals, no assists, no significant contributions,Morocco Mole wrote:Snodgrass: Highest number of assists and key passes last season.

He’s played 124 minutes in the league, the season has just started.
I don’t rate Snodgrass much as a winger any more, but he definitely shores up a side defensively when he plays and has shown himself worthy of being in the picture for central midfield spots

Too much fixation here on Snoddy since Antonio's injury snafu. He isn't (or certainly shouldn't) come in for him - Yarmalenko and Foranls are where the dosh has been spent to fill these spaces anyway - stick Anderson and Lanzini in too and there's the attacking midfield pool. Don't get me wrong re Antonio; gutted he's out for that long, but I still don't get where Snoddy relates to that.
Where Snoddy comes in is as cover (either by injury or loss of form) for the central 2 ahead of Rice - for me him, Nobes and Rice was our best central midfield 3 last season. Great balance of one specialist DM, another all-round CM, and a versatile wide/central midfielder with a good work-rate and who can cut outside and give good dead ball or short-crossing delivery. Snoddy's extended contract reflects what he can offer us based on what he did last season and significantly explains why we've let Obiang and Fernandes go.
We'll need Yarma to work extra hard in training with the full-backs, cos whilst there's undoubtedly a load of attacking talent there, we'll need some added work-rate on the back of them bombing forward and over-lapping.
Anyway tomorrow. Should be goals aplenty. Pukki is a natural finisher but not particularly quick or strong; might be best negated by trying not to let Norwich to break as quickly as they'll hope to. Easier said than done, but this is where our big players have to step up and take charge; Anderson, Lanzini and Haller need to be at it for 90. Nobes usually does well v this lot, so am trusting him to run the show again.
3-2 West Ham.

On train from Doncaster surrounded by grunting Blunts.
Tough test today against a decent Norwich, be nice to get a win to take us into the break.

My first game of the season and the bloody trains are screwed again.
Edit: It looks like the A13 is also shut.
Not happy.

If he shows enough ' Desire ' but as far as points go I should imagine that Noble & co. will be ' Bringing It All Back Home ' especially if there's some ' Hard Rain ' about to fall .mushy wrote:quote="Patito"]

Is he in the frame then?
