We can't even do the basics. It's bloody frightening.
I just can't see where the next wins coming from.

Your Haller agenda is boring, Crouchy.

MOM for us: Antonio for his impact, desire and energy.
MOM: Unfortunately it was Son, who hopefully now gives us someone to sue if we go down as he shouldn't really have been playing the snidey, dirty, teflon-coated git.
Or Oliver (as Graza nominated).

£100+ million of underperforming players plus one soapbar keeper who let all three goals go through his hands , Antonio and Rice and to a lesser extent Noble all did a job but under immediate pressure .

We could have had the hybrid of Yashin and Buffon in goal today and it wouldnt have made a differencebubbles1966 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 2:46 pm Whoever recruited the 'keeper should be sacked this evening.
Tbf Roberto was comical though.
Don't agree with the fans cheering his touches though. That is embarrassing

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019
Surely we have to bring in a out of contract goalkeeper this week and get him ready to play against Chelsea. The team have no confidence in Roberto and look beaten before a ball has been kicked. Pellergrini has no confidence in Martin so bring in an out of contract keeper if we are allowed because of the injury to Fab.
We are in an awful position at the moment. Manager looks to be clueless, crap 'home' ground/stadium, two expensive signings out of form and one of the worse goalkeepers we ever had in the premiership.

Randolph or Hart would comfortably have saved the first.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 2:54 pm We could have had the hybrid of Yashin and Buffon in goal today and it wouldnt have made a difference

Did you watch the game?
He didn't do one thing. Got beaten to every 50/50. Every single first touch or lay off gave the ball away. Didnt make any runs behind and was not in any way a danger in the opposition box. He didn't even make much attempt to close down their defenders when they had the ball.
He won some headers that went nowhere that was it
I used to give Carroll stick for better performances than that so it is no agenda. He is just offering absolutely nothing and hasn't done for about six games

Rice saved them all in the first half, Diop would have been subbed on 40 minutes if it wasn't for Dec.
Antonio gave us movement, power and desire up front and is the reason Pellegrini won't be sacked.
But I give it to Robert Snodgrass for attacking Harry Kane. Not only was it desire and fight that the team was bereft of, I've been waiting for someone to call out that snide tosser.

Worst thing about today? Because I was stuck in Kumb-limbo on page 19 of the match thread, I had to go back to watching the game..

in 45 minutes, Antonio has shown how embarrassingly poor Haller's performances have been, and has also shown how much difference having a half decent player up top makes.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 3:00 pm Did you watch the game?

Well said mate. It should be self evident to anybody, the guy regrets moving here and clearly wants out

This may be a controversial view but for the first half hour I thought we looked ‘ok’. Not great, but ok considering our recent form.
Jeering your own keeper is muggy and isn’t going to help anything. It’s nothing new though - I’m old enough to remember us destroying Mervyn Day in this way. We’re stuck with him for the time being, why utterly destroy the last vestiges of his confidence?
What’s with our throw ins? That’s basic surely. We’ve been pony at them for at least two seasons now.
Please please please can we play Antonio up front with Haller now?
And why can’t we try at least one of the kids?

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019
That 2-3 fightback might have just saved Pellegrini for another few weeks because the performance was 10 times better once we got rid of Diop, Anderson and Yarmalenko. I would start the team that finished next week with Declan at the back, Sanchez in midfield and Antonio playing up front with Haller (who was anonymous until Haller came on). Even Fornals looked ok once he get in the game. The trouble is Pellegrini will need to pay someone to injure Roberto so we can get an emergency keeper in if we don't want to start off 1 nil down every game
I have defended Roberto in the past but his performance today was indefensible and he has to be dropped for the sake of the team. If Martin actually can't play then he's in a bit of a bind and we'll need to get someone else in

Crouchy isn’t wrong about Haller. He’s lazy as f***...comical watching him as our main forward. He needs to improve and fast...or if he regrets moving here then he can f*** off as soon as possible.
Sick of watching some of these players bottle challenges and waltz around.
