I remember during Arry's time, we were linked to a Japanese player called Tsuneyasu Miyamoto. Can't remember exactly which year.

I also saw a photo with a South Korean international Kim Nam-il having a trial with us.

That could be the player LeonRivers or DaveWHU1964 saw..

Ok then, technically, just one new one!

And I remember it being two South Korean trialists Harry brought at the same time but reserve the right to be totally wrong about that!

Interesting. I saw him play in Korea a few times and he did well in the 2002 World Cup. Little bloke, blonde hair, looked a bit chipmunky. Used to scurry down the wing. A sort of blonde Korean David Fairclough.

Apologies if this already been said but surely Sasa Ilic the most memorable by far! Had no idea he was Serbian! And also the Coker in the list, was that Ade Coker, if so saw his debut at Palace and he scored in a 3-0 win!!! Brian Moore's "Coker!" Now there was the daddy of all commentators!!!

Crazy how our first Spaniard was less than ten years ago and now we've had 6! I remember signing Kepa and everyone going on about him being our first ever Spanish player. Scored with his first touch then did nothing

Jonathan Calleri is West Ham's 7th Argentine. :crest:

Argentina are now the joint-third most represented nation, level with Senegal and Portugal (behind France [17] and Australia [9]).

Yousef Sofiane? He was born in France and played for them internationally to U18. He was of Algerian descent though.
