Get another midfielder in to do the work Noble can’t really do anymore, and we will get the best out of Noble when he can get further forward. He’s been involved in some great goals against Man Utd, Cardiff and Fulham, and helped change the game tonight.

I thought Noble made the space for himself. Neither Rice or Obiang was willing to turn and drive into space in the first half. I'll say it again, we don't need our players to be Messi and slice through 3 or 4 players, we just need someone to receive the ball, turn and carry it forward when the opportunity presents itself.
It's especially needed when the opposition packs the midfield and can just shift their lines side to side accordingly when we chose to pass out wide without the necessary movement.
We know Lanzini and Wilshere can do it, but they are out, so it's up to Rice and Obiang to carry out that function otherwise we will be limiting ourselves to just counter-attacks as our our source of goals.

He made a big difference tonight that is for sure [along with Antonio], but Obiang, Rice and Snodgrass were not helped by the strikers in the first half
No coincidence we started to play and scored our two goals after Mark Noble came on on 63 minutes - he found Arnautovic with a 30 yard pass for goal No 1 and a similar pass out to Antonio resulted in goal No 2 .
I have never concealed my views about him, but I must also give credit where it is due, he did turn that game for us last night. He was a game changer from the bench and I didn't think we had one of those in our ranks
Just shows he has a part to play, the Boss would not have given him a further two years contract! he is West Ham through & through, soon sadly it may get we like other top clubs have No Local Players! never thought the sport would go that way!
Great to see him run across to the young boy at the final whistle and give him his shirt, the boy and his father were made up, that is what the game should all be about.
He absolutely should be starting more than just coming off the bench. He's still one of the first names that should be on the team sheet. He's also been a big part of the Team when we picked up so many points this season. We rarely do when he doesn't play, as records have easily proved.
He does however need managing more smarter on occasions through the season because he always has a tendency for doing far too much being the west ham enthusiast that he clearly is and he is the wrong side of 30 of which I have no problem seeing him bench once in a while, especially over the demanding Christmas calendar.
