As well as now being in the Top Ten appearances for WHU, 35 games behind Sir Geoff

Nobes is obvioulsy No.1 in the WHU record books for Premier League appearances

Over 14yrs an average of 25yrs game a season and some question the WHU Legend status :o

Played under 9 managers if you count Kevin Keen when caretaker, not sure anyone can beat that one

Mark Noble 351 13 Aug 2005 31 Aug 2019
Carlton Cole 216 19 Aug 2006 24 May 2015
Steve Potts 204 14 Aug 1993 07 Mar 2001
James Collins 188 29 Oct 2005 13 May 2018
Trevor Sinclair 177 31 Jan 1998 11 May 2003
Rob Green 177 22 Oct 2006 22 May 2011

Was thinking the same thing recently, not about Noble but in general. The players we've got must excite the players just as much as they excite us when attacking teams. They're all playing care free, enjoyable football and that clearly breeds from the manager in how he wants his team's to play but also in his calm exterior he exudes. Players want to play for him and he wants them to express themselves as much as possible. I ****ing love seeing it written all over their faces too, Hallers reaction watching Anderson taking the piss nutmegging their entire side yesterday, as a case in point. :D

It's a shame none of them gave him license to play an attacking game as Pelle is doing' His brief has always seemed to be to shore up the defense. Had they had Pelle's vision we would have had more Watford goals to celebrate. Terrible waste that it took him 10 years to score a goal like that.

I have to say, I have been really impressed by him so far this season, both on and off the field. An inspiration to the whole And I did write that

Taken from the BBC as Mark Noble features in Garth Crooks team of the week:

West Ham have won 47% of their Premier League games when Mark Noble has started under Manuel Pellegrini (15/32), compared to just 18% when he hasn't (2/11).

Maestro!

Glad he's finally getting some recognition. He simply gets better with age, ran the midfield yesterday.

Runaway HotY so far for me

He was like a man playing against boys in midfield yesterday. Their lot clearly had no one with his leadership, intelligence or calmness on the ball.

Stopped being a question of his status for us a long while ago anyway, but let’s be clear - the fella would have done a job in ANY West Ham United squad.

The camera caught him having some angry words with the Referee yesterday at one point during the second half , anyone notice what it was all about ?

I love how he can buy a foul so easily, instantly relieving the pressure.

Still reckless in the tackle at times, could have seen red yesterday.

His career seems to be having a real renaissance under Pellegrini, and having license to roam forward more seems to have helped him. PArt of that is likely the circumstance of now having Rice behind him.

Enjoyed that too. He was my MOTM yesterday. He just gets better and better. Yes, he can be a bit clumsy with his tackles but it's more exuberance than recklessness.

Playing with better players is allowing him a bit more freedom to play without trying to make up for players not giving 100%,

Night and day difference, we've always rarely won without him in the side. And I'm equally chuffed that Pellegrini has stopped needlessly taking him off after an hour most games like last season. It was an unneessary change so early in games. Now he sees how much we miss him when he doesn't play as much.

Good players play better with better players.

As we get stronger, the ball players come to the fore. He's always looked better when we've had a good striker on the pitch. We just haven't had one very often. Easily the best forward passer in our team.

Did you notice that after Cresswell's first free kick failed, Mark contrived to draw a foul in an area where he would have a better chance with the same shot ?

He's had better games than yesterday, but was still the best player on the pitch. Signs of a real understanding between him and Wilshere late on as well.

If Lanzini is out I'd like to see this against Bournmouth....
