I think he was told to take it easy tonight, which is understandable. Didn't break into anything faster than a jog at any point.
Amazing to see him back, though.

I think he is my favourite player. Even in the 'Payet' season, I thought it was as much about how he made us tick as it was about Payet's assists and goals. He's been a big part of us playing well when he hasn't been injured the past 2 seasons too, so lets hope in time he gets match fit and creates something special with Anderson etc.
Me too. I always thought he would be better than payet.

A fully fit Lanzini would have scored tonight. Great to see him back.

From him coming on it took all of about 3 mins for him to pick up the ball in a central position, turn and burst in the middle with options out wide. We haven't had that all season. Hes been missed.

Not surprising if you considered what Pellerigini said about in his interview this week about the likes of Lanzini, Wilshere, Narsi and Yarmolenko only seeing the pitch around 8-10 times this season between the lot of them.
We definitely needed another creative spark to complement Anderson and to get the best out of Chicha and Arnie. Hopefully, we get to see some lovely football in the run-in to the end of the season.

BBC live texter said he got the biggest cheer at the stadium since Rutherford's winning long jump. LOL

It was great to see him back, and the noise when he came on was indeed impressive. Should have buried that chance rather than the back heel, but even that made me smile.
I think we sang ‘Ain’t nobody’ so much that it’s still in my head now I’m home and I’m bed though...

A joy to watch on the field... just seems to find spaces nobody else could effortlessly
He and Anderson will take the piss out of a lot of teams.Defensive teams wont be able to have 2 - 3 players on both of them at the same time.
Stick Nasri in there too and we could give most a run for their money

Thought he looked good when he came on. Showed exactly what we’ve been missing in the middle of the park, someone who is willing to pick the ball up anywhere under pressure and start attacks.

don't think he touched the ball for about the first 10 minutes he was on the field - the whole team didn't not just him
good to see him back though - got a football brain that's for sure

Even in the glimpses we saw, the class of the bloke lifted us up several notches.

Yep, was very noticeable. A fully fit Lanzini with Anderson/Arnie interchanging will be a beautiful thing.

So sorely missed. Hopefully we're not going to rush him back into starting football, but a couple more appearances like that will show how important he can and will be for us next season.

Looked class when he came on against Fulham. Great touch and great energy. So good to have him back in the team.
