He's our Sterling, he looks baffling, goes from Sunday League to Champions League but somehow chips in with goals and assists from time to time(obviously not to the same level as Sterling)stu1 wrote:Antonio should be the first winger on the team sheet, he’s our most effective player in that position and his stats over the last 15 months back that up.

Re: Michail Antonio
he offers something different pace power strength and goals which our other midfielders do not. fine having little oases but we need to stretch teams and Iron Mike is the only one to do this.
Antonio and haller up top would be interesting
midfiled 4 of rice noble Anderson and fornals behind them

He's not a winger but his role is as a sort of Mane, but without the full set of clubs. He's just about the only one other than Haller who offers pace, a physical presence and a bit of ability to hold on to the ball under pressure.

Re: Michail Antonio
100% Arguably our most effective player for the last 3yrs, 29 now & in his prime, release da beast. When playing teams trying to build from the back his muscle & tenacity causes danger. I saw our best attacks coming from forcing mistakes high up the pitch vs City. Lanzini can't run/dribble/sprint further than 30 metres without ****ing out, so have him further forward closer to Haller & within his range of mobility. We need more beast mode mentality throughout the midfield, press high & force mistakes in their half, where our creatives are.Albie Beck wrote:He's not a winger but his role is as a sort of Mane, but without the full set of clubs. Re: Michail Antonio
I thought I saw on one of our players Instagram stories (may have been Ogbonna's) that Antonio started training again already!
Was it ever actually reported how serious his injury was? Presumably that means it wasn't as bad as first feared.

Not even close to training again. He’s out for another 3/4 months.funky chicken wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 1:35 pm I thought I saw on one of our players Instagram stories (may have been Ogbonna's) that Antonio started training again already!

Re: Michail Antonio
Looked like he was smashing it on that bike. Hope he’s not rushed back, but wouldn’t be surprised if he’s brought back in before the new year.

Re: Michail Antonio
just wish he could stay fit. imagine a season of full on Iron Mike. top 6 we would be top 3 easily. such a threat and really missed. pace power directness and goals.
hopefully back in January . I reckon we will see him in the first team before reid !

He cannot be eligible to be a pundit. He has not played for the bin dippers.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Sat Sep 21, 2019 7:21 pm That video just highlights what a legend he is. Probably one of the nicest and engaging dudes in football

Re: Michail Antonio
I saw something today suggesting that he's miles ahead of where he was supposed to be in terms of regaining fitness, back in November instead of January.
