Re: Michail Antonio
He goes against everything you are taught, he looks useless sometimes, constantly use his left foot to shoot which he is dire with but he is effective, got 5 for the season now. Regardless if he stays or goes he is a weapon in the squad, still think he is a brilliant player for any side to bring on even England in a 23 man squad, you just don't know what he will do and neither does he half the time and he is great the air and physically. For all the donuts pandering over Adama Traore the last two years, Antonio is five times the player last few seasons, we need a player of his ilk at least in the squad.

All this ego stuff sounds like bull****.hadleighhammer wrote:Looks like he sorted his ego out over the last few games which is good to see and it's showing in his performances.
Every interview he gives, he comes across as the complete opposite to an egomaniac.
It just seems like a stick to beat him with when he was out of form.
Even his celebrations show he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Re: Michail Antonio
the second would have been twice the goal the first was, and that was pretty bloody special....

26 goals in 107 appearances
1 / 4 isn't bad at all, given the different positions he's played in.

Re: Michail Antonio
There was a rumour he had developed an unhealthy pastime which was supposedly weighing him down. Hopefully that’s all in the past now as I’d given up on him but really very happy to see him back.

Re: Michail Antonio
Oh and a special mention for arguably the best West Ham goal celebration ever, considering who it was against and in front of their sell out crowd, as the winning goal in their new shiny ****hole. Still laughing my head off everytime I think about it.
It really weren't rocket what he was trying to tell everyone...

He was a constant nuisance throughout to them. They'll be glad to see the back of him. The bloke always raises his game another level whenever he plays against those c****.

Re: Michail Antonio
Pellegrini deserves a lot of credit for getting him back to full fitness and working on his game. He now has a proper position instead of the 3 or 4 positions he was asked to fill in at and he now has been trained properly to shoot and score .
Looking good now if his ego is kept in check.

Good point, he’s done the same with Snoddy too.ageing hammer wrote:Pellegrini deserves a lot of credit for getting him back to full fitness and working on his game.

Re: Michail Antonio
We watched him come off against Macclesfield and despite winning that by however many goals it was, and him scoring, his body language and shape was proper ****ed - we were all in agreement that he looked like a player who was on a worrying, serious decline
Today, every time he got the ball, you could feel the Spurs lot sat next to me actually flinch - he scared the **** out of them - twice I heard shouts of “don’t let him have it”
He’s unpredictable to frightening, glorious levels. Half of the time he genuinely doesn’t look like he’s sure himself what will happen next.

Re: Michail Antonio
Said earlier in the season, Pellegrini actually rates him and is one of his favourite players he relies on. Ever since the beginning of the season, he's perservered with him. 7 goals, 3 assists and a constant pain in the arse for any full back bulldozing past them.

The slow motion replays they keep showing of his celebration, is something to behold.
The beautiful big bollocked b*stard.

Re: Michail Antonio
Typical Antonio game. Frustrating sometimes, when you think, that this guy is not able to complete a simple pass on 5 m, and outstanding on the other hand, when he overruns a whole opponent squad.
