Its a bit off-topic, but I dunno if you have seen this video, that i randomly found on the net by searching something different...

Its quite a polaroid of the past and the present too..

Just do not get nostalgic... (thats was not my intention!)

WEST HAM'S LONDON STADIUM LANDLORDS SPEND £6MILLION ON MOVING SEATS THIS SUMMER
By Matt Slater, PA Chief Sports Reporter
The cost of converting the London Stadium from football ground to multi-use
venue and back again has risen to £6million, the stadium's owners E20 have
confirmed.
West Ham have a 99-year lease at the 60,000-seat venue, which was built for the
2012 Olympics, but pay only £2.5million a year in rent.
According to its most recent set of accounts, E20 is losing £20million a year
and has spent £4million in legal fees in an unsuccessful attempt to get more
money out of West Ham, who claim they are not to blame for the venue's financial
woes.
One of the key issues at the stadium is the cost of moving its seats after the
football season is over so it can be used for athletics, music concerts and
other sporting events over the summer.
In response to a Freedom of Information request from PA, E20 confirmed it cost
£11.3million to move the seats in 2017, when the stadium staged the World
Athletics and World Para Athletics Championships.
That figure fell to £4.1million, though, in 2018, when the stadium was the
venue for concerts by the Rolling Stones, Jay Z and Foo Fighters, before hosting
three weekends of international athletics.
But the cost of moving the seats has risen again this year after a summer that
has seen the stadium stage a concert by rock band Muse, two Major League
Baseball games and athletics' Anniversary Games on July 20-21.
The £6million figure in E20's FOI response is £500,000 higher than an estimate
it published earlier this summer and it includes a £1.9million cost for the New
York Yankees v Boston Red Sox series.
E20, however, told PA that MLB's hire fee for the stadium covered the cost of
the seat moves and the league also covered the costs of the baseball pitch and
"overlay", the temporary structures such as the bullpen and dugouts.
Asked if the baseball experiment, which is being repeated next June, made
money, an E20 spokesperson said: "In addition to the wider economic benefit of
bringing MLB to London, I can confirm a profit was generated by the baseball
games."
The publicly-owned company would not reveal how much profit was made, though,
citing "commercial interests".
The Hammers return to the venue on Saturday for a friendly against Athletic
Bilbao, before starting their 2019-20 Premier League campaign against defending
champions Manchester City on August 10.

I suppose that the majority of our players now know our only ground as the London Stadium, I think we only have Noble, Cresswell, Antoino and Ogbonna who would have played a first team game at the Boleyn or have I missed anyone? With these four not being first choice now, does anyone know if at the London Stadium we have played an 11 that never start at the Boleyn ?

Just seen this on uefa.com guide to best stadium design:

Whereas 30 years ago, football stadiums were often
designed to be used for other sports too (e.g. athletics),
the emphasis in modern-day design is on the specific
needs of the game. In the past, many football stadiums
were built with running tracks around the perimeter of
the pitch, for example. This does not make for a good
match atmosphere, as it reduces the “cauldron” effect.
The stadium structure should hug the pitch in order
to maximise this cauldron effect without, of course,
compromising the safety of the players and coaching
staff, match officials or spectators.

Spurs ground is actually something of an eyesore to the skyline unless you are flying above at around 5000 feet anyway. Like a massive warehouse that totally overwhelms its surroundings and the High Street. Shocked at how disconcerting the whole edifice is close up but the location left little choice in that regard. Different matter inside which is superb but I hope the architects for Everton take into consideration the whinging about getting a beer despite the longest counter in the world balcony and speedy bottom filling glasses that have soaked many a fan as they play with them. Also the problems with supporters getting in and out of the immediate area which is not a happy experience. That said I believe the Everton location won't be so enclosed so may allow a little more breathing space in and out of the ground accordingly so won't have to overfill their pint pot as Spurs have had to do.

Bloke I went with had all his food taken off him at the bag search today. Is this a new thing. I don't remember it happening before. I got through OK with a few sandwiches. We all travel up from Poole in Dorset so its a full day out for us and need something to keep us going after the games.

I took my kids to the game v Athletico Bilboa and it was £6 for a pint of beer, £5 for a small pot of sweets, £4-7 pot of popcorn. I think the price has now reached a point where I will refuse to buy anything at the stadium. They just see us as consumers that can be exploited. Well not anymore. I despised the whole experience. I have a season ticket and thankfully missed today due to being on holiday.

That seems quite disgraceful. I'd have to be given a good reason & 'so you have to buy the food inside', isn't. What if the bloke had been diabetic?

I wouldn't buy any food or drink in there.
A good tip for pick & mix though, is Wilkinson's, near Stratford Broadway. I appreciate it's quite a trek if you're not coming from the Morrison's direction though.

The search queues seemed ridiculously slow yesterday. I mean, they are never great, but were extra slow. All the queuing to get the front and be able to walk through without even a pat-down. Bizarre.
