Looking for justification in my mind. I just think he’s reacted to the guy giving him a little shove. If it was racial abuse Moyes would’ve said something to try and stand by his player.

He should have his feet sawn off and his organs sold for dog food.

Before slaughtering Arthur we need to know what made him do it. If he was racially abused ( I have seen the tweets) then surely there is more to come on this.

I wonder how the people who criticise Arthur for his spitting felt when Hartson tried taking off Berkovic's head at Chadwell Heath??
Why am I feeling a touch of hypocrisy may exist?

Well for me I thought Hartson should have been transfer listed for what he did. Could have seriously hurt Berkovic.

Spitting at him and being sent off for it. That'll certainly learn him.

IF he was racially abused then he should of twatted the bloke square in the jaw. Spitting is cowardly and cuntish.

Don't get it. Seems a very minor infraction, not different from a shove or going head-to-head. Clearly the footballing world disagrees, but we have got a bit hysterical about spitting. This incident was hardly aggressive or confrontational, just a frustration spit in someone's direction while their back is turned. Think a 6 game ban is crazy, but whatever. Talk of selling him or calling him a disgrace is...well, each to their own I guess.

Has anyone seen it in a reply?

Can anyone confirm if he spat in the Wigan players face?

If he was racially abused I’d say that is a reasonable response even if a bit cowardly, anything else and I’d really struggle to fully support him again.

It wasn’t in his face. It was down towards his waist.

He didn't kill anyone
He didn't rape anyone
He didn't disfigure anyone
He didn't rob anyone
He didn't cheat anyone
He's spat at an opponent

I think, if he's genuinely sorry and learns from this, he can be forgiven, it's not that big a deal and I'm sure Moyes will sort it. Bit of an over reaction on here if you ask me.

I saw it. He flobbed downwards and probably hit him around the waste. He (the Wigan player) was shouting "he spat at me....he spat at me"

Pretty bad. Seen worse but he doesn't deserve to play for us again. I hope we sack him.

In the grand scheme of things it's f**king nothing, and the reaction is pathetic. He didn't s**t on him. We forgive players for drink driving and yet we want Arthur sacked, one strike and he's out, for spitting, f**king hell.

By the way did the ref see this happen? Not defending him if he did do it but how has he been sent off if it wasn't seen?
