WHUISA - WHU Independent Supporters Association

Does exactly what it says on the tin - the forum for football-related discussion.

But doesn't the verb latescere refer to somebody hiding something, rather than hiding himself, herself or itself?
In that respect I still think latentes is right, in the sense of fortune being hidden away, invisible.
I could be wrong though, this looks a tricky one...

OK, all based on my 5 years of Latin many years ago so no guarantees but ...

That's exactly the point. Latescere is intransitive. Most of the other "hide" verbs, including calere, are transitive.

"Latentes" can't be right anyway. The verb here has got to be (continuous) present tense.

Hi George. Has the idea of contacting all the worldwide WHU Supporters Clubs about ISA been mentioned?
Would be good to request them to spread the word amongst their members.
Contacts can be found on the fans pages of the official site.
The Trans Pennine Irons have already mailed all members by the way.

Haha Greeniron you could be right there, maybe my lessons are too far gone now, so like in Life of Brian we might need a Roman officer holding the blade of a sword to our throats to encourage us getting our Latin phrases right...So Greeniron's suggestion could well be spot on...

I'm in too, 133 for 2 years. Really think that once this gets off the ground we will have a strong voice to at least be consulted about changes that will affect us.

Make sure every tweet has the link to the sign up page, you have to make it as easy as possible for people even when talking about spending £3!

I would be up for handing out leaflets at home and away games to help grow the Association. :scarfer:
