Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
Any news on whether Arnie is definitely back for Manure? If so, got to feel optimistic.
Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
NB86 - Pellegrini seemed to pretty much confirm he’s fit. Said he’s been training with the team since Wednesday. Claret & Hugh (I know) also claiming he’s fit. It’s looking good!
Edit - the club’s official social media accounts have posted a picture of Arnie captioned “He’s back”

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
why not keep it secret until 2pm today ? let moaniho sweat on it !
seems we want to say he is playing to sell the remaining tickets !
MP has already said he doesn't want leaks so why announce arnie is back at his press conference. keep them waiting.

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
Is Marko the forward we've needed since Ashton retired?
Another great display today.

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
The commentary, when they could be bothered to talk about West Ham, referred to his past where he often didn't put a shift in. I haven't really seen that side of him since he came back from his opening games so maybe has found his 'spiritual home', much like what happened with DiCanio. (I do love a maverick in Claret & Blue so I might be being a bit biased here.)
Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
I’d genuinely have Arnie over Lukaku all day long. The bloke is top drawer and an absolute machine. Love him.

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
watching on the telly/computer doesn't give you the full impact of him....
when we did get him in camera shot, his movement off the ball was brilliant - they couldn't handle him...pulled CB's all over the place and made room for others....

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
I was worried when he went down holding his knee. He looked so confident today, linking up with the other players really well. Lots of flicks, backheels and little through balls between the 3 of them.

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
He is getting an almost Lanzini type understanding with Yarmolenko..
couple of little back heels almost worked..they interchange passes and that.....
that's only going to get better and better.....

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
He's one of the top 5 strikers in the league now for me.
As effective as Lukaku (I believe they've both scored the same this year)...
Sanchez looks devoid of anything now
Better than both of Chelseas strikers
Has more to his game than the likes of Vardy or Lacazette
As number 9s, I'd say Aubameyang (a 55 million striker), Firmino, Kane and Aguero are currently better than he is...

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
wlh
thing is though mate, Firmino plays with Salah and Mane which helps tremendously. Ditto Arguero (although I DO think he's better in a different way), and he can bully defenders in a way that Kane can't but again to be fair, think that Kane is better as an instinctive striker...
Arnie, and love our lads as much as we do, he hasn't got anyone of the class that Firmano and Arguero have in and around them.
He does so much with so little (no respect intended to our lads).......

Converting him from a number 10 into a number 9 was the best thing Moyes ever did for our club.
I get the feeling Arnie likes being the big dog... sort of like Ibra, which is why I can see him staying around for a while.

It‘s surely easier to score goals at Tottenham, City, etc.
Would like to see if Kane or Aguero score so many goals at West Ham as Arni does.
