I used to watch Orient quite a bit in the years that Bowyer was there, a fairly ordinary player for them who didnt always make the team.
Almost incredible to think back then that he would go on to get a First division winners medal and two winning European Cup medals.
Thats Brian Clough for you I suppose (although Clough didnt actually sign him, he was already there when Clough joined in 1975, and I think the only Forest player to survive the Clough cull of players).

I believe him and his son are one of only two sets of father and son that have played in the same side in a match in league football. (Although I stand to be corrected on that).

Never even knew he had a footballing son.
Who did he play for?
Edit -just googled it Gary Bowyer (of course), they played together at Hereford.
