Seen a lot of people laying into him, a lot of people were doing that to Marko after 2 games last season

I appreciate the bloke needs time but I've not even seen a glimmer of anything. Bit of chasing back at Liverpool but nothing Holland could not of given. Hope he is able to step up in the next half a dozen games.

Well there's me, a few on here, and Tony Gale who all reckon he looked like a lazy git today.
Can't wait til he proves us all wrong and has us worshipping the ground he walks on.
Until then . . .

I think he'll be fine, he tracks back more than Payet ever did, the problem is that he hasn't shown the attacking brilliance consistently yet. Give him a bit to settle in, there have been flashes.

I was surrounded by people slating Anderson today. No he wasn't spectacular but he will need time to settle in like arnautovic did. I'm not worried about Anderson or our season. Yes it's frustrating to lose to Bournemouth but its only our second game, even the biggest teams can have slow starts. It's how we learn and improve is what matters. There are still 36 league games left. Im staying optimistic.

It was his ball that led to the penalty wasn't it? (Happy to be corrected if wrong)

I think he just wasn't used to the pace of the Premier League, spent a lot of time dallying on the ball and this could have led to nerves creeping on. Still had a really strong run into the box at the end of the 90 though.

Not the best performance but far from the worst.

Just got back from the bowl and not surprised he's being unfairly slagged off. Thought he did his fair share of work first half but looked absolutely knackered by 60 mins. Don't understand why he isn't trying to beat his man though

Only the best imports hit the ground running...today he played like he’d forgot to pack his parachute and bombed. The stark reality of the EPL was encapsulated in his game today. He needs to improve 40% minimum if he’s going to be the player we payed over the odds for. He doesn’t do anything that is different or inspiring. Perhaps he needs time, but he won’t get much unless he turns up mysteriously injured and he gets a well earned rest...

Based on today he needs to play through the middle I think. Every time was one on one with the full back he stopped and cut in, he was always looking for a killer pass but was only in a decent position once to make it (much more central when played in Hernandez) definitely needs to up his work rate from today (thought he worked hard first half against the bin dippers though)

Definitely needs time but don't think that means he should be starting every game regardless. He didn't try hard enough today and that's not acceptable, he should be benched next game for Yarmolenko/Perez

He is a good fotballer, but there's no excuse for not tracking back. You see relegation fodder doing that year in year out. Can't be arsed to chase back 60 yards, goal. He needs the boot up his backside that Arnie got last year

I never jump on the bandwagon but to be fair he is rubbish.

I can't see the point of paying that much for a 'winger' who doesn't have pace. Maybe he has some other qualities that haven't shown through yet but how can he play in this league, wide, without pace???

Maybe he's more of a central forward?

so he is a winger who doesn't take people on. he was one on one several times but chose not to have a go. This is what fans want a player who will have a go not play inside all the time. also didn't track back. masuaka offered more going forward than him but seemed worried to over commit himself on a run probably because he knew Anderson wouldn't track back.

based on his 2 games I would put him in the middle with yarmolenko on one side and masuaka on the other

early days yet but not looking good so far

2016/17 Blame the stadium, the board and Noble.

2017/18Blame the board, the stadium, David Moyes and Noble.

2018/19 Blame Anderson, Snodgrass and Noble.

Part of the problem is we desperately long for another Payet

Maybe but he isn’t the same type of player. It’s going to take time to adjust though. And he has pace, loads of it.

Seriously, did someone actually say that he lacks pace?
