Wondering if I'm going to see some bloke on Facebook trying to flog 12 of these like they were for Newport.

Starts at 28 points, no windows beyond 26 with only 1,247 tickets available.

I'm pretty much giving up already up on getting any tickets this season for anything within the M25 on my lowly 21 points if I'm already 7 behind.
What's the panic for? I'm on 22 points and know I won't get a ticket for Oxford, all it means is that the people in front of me go further in front of me, no big deal.

We get 3,000 tickets most away games, 2,700 of these goes to point holders.

Watford sold out at 21 points and was only 2,000 tickets, that means your roughly 2,000th in the pecking order.

If you keep going to the games that you can you shouldn't have any problems... problems should only arise for you if the board decide they want to take 1,000 of their money mates to an away game.

We have nigh on 800 ASTH, so out of 3,000 tickets and whatever Bondholders snap up, it's not much more than 2,000 tickets going to point holders.

And the panic is that I've never had an issue getting tickets for Watford or Bournemouth before, but now I'm missing out and it's only going to get harder.

Surely there can only be handful of ex-AST holders at that amount of points as it doesn't really make sense unless you have an exceptional reason to give it up and then still go all the games?

As you say the maximum number of PPs a non-AST holder is probably 25 so based on the 750 ASTs, 150 Bondholders and say 100 Club London, surely it is not unrealistic to expect close to 200 tickets for this match to go to 25 PPs unless either there are others than ex-AST holders with 25+ PPs or most of those tickets all already gone elsewhere?

But you're still 2,000th - ish in the queue including those guys. The 2,000 Watford tickets sold out to 21 points, I missed out by a minute or so (I'm now on 22 points due to my Villa ticket).

We used to get 3,000 Watford tickets, but for some reason recently they have starting playing the 10% card even though they can't sell out their own stands. This is why it is harder to get Watford tickets all of sudden.

Bournemouth have only been in the league since the 2015/2016 seaon and have always offered a stupidly low amount due to their stupidly small ground. So most people have always had issues getting Bournemouth tickets appart from ASTH and Boundholders who take their rightful allocation and leave a tiny amount for PP applications. I've only been to Bournemouth when it was a pre-season friendly for our year in the Championship back in 2011.

Dwight

I make you right but I'll bet there's not tickets left when 28, 27 and 26 have gone.

Oxford normally give over the whole side of their ground to away fans. Are we to believe that they can only release 1200?

It appears to me from reading through this thread, although I presume that all of the posts are guesswork rather than fact, that a main reason or lack of numbers being available to PP is that the club are using them as sweeteners to get renewals in the corporates and top end seats.

As for a 'fair' system; the only fair system is one that ensures that I get a ticket for every game that I want to go to.

You will get for any allocation that is 3k. You’ll be ok for all the London games. I’m also on 21 points

That blatantly isn't true Row X. Check the posts on the last few pages of this thread.
There were already people being allocated Oxford tickets before the ticket details were announced by the club. Some of these have few, if any priority points at all.
What worries me more then anything is the amount of corporate requests for tickets for our away matches in London.
Spurs away will be interesting, am hoping to scrape in with my current 24 point count.

With respect to those questioning the number of points a non AST can have , it is 28 , which I have .
5 This season ( Brighton , Watford , Newport , Villa and Bournemouth )
19 League games last season
2 League cup , Spurs and Macclesfield
1 FA Cup Birmingham
Here is what people are overlooking we had 1 point manually added at the beginning of last season for one of the Europa games that was incorrectly taken off a couple of seasons back , it may be old but we were penalised for that time by not having it .
As noted earlier Villa went down to 10 and next up will be Everton on a Saturday lunchtime , that will go very low maybe even general sale . Its not the sunny south coast or M25 .
As alluded earlier we are now customers and not supporters , whilst all customers are important those that spend more get more , wealth buys you privilege whether you like it or not , that's why the corporate seem to be getting first dibs on the popular aways . Just to clarify I am not corporate .

Are you saying that everyone had an extra PP added this season to their accounts or just you?
If it is for a home UEFA tie and I attended them all, I haven't and my friend who went to both the home and away fixtures for our last adventure hasn't either?

My friend only missed the Wimbledon fixtures last season and the Newport tickets did not reach the PPs he has likewise now Bournemouth and I am not sure when PPs are only carried over from last season why PPs for UEFA ties are now relevant?

I am not doubting what you say is correct but like low PPs getting AST and non-AST having inconsistent PPs I question what is exactly is going, a bit of transparency wouldn't go amiss?

Dwight , I remember reading on here ( I lurked for years ) about the error and checked my account . You had to e-mail them and ask .
As for low PP getting AST , I think you have to apply early with your season ticket application as the criteria to get on the waiting list , number of points are irrespective. As I am a tight fisted old sod I wont give these people my money any earlier than necessary so leave my ST application until late and have never bothered asking to go on the away list , with my points total I don't really need to .

I am not an away season ticket holder, I have 26 PP and i must say i have no problem with how the away scheme works, ive been going home and away virtually every game for the last 12+ years which is how i have built up my points, it was easy to build up points back in the day when we where in the championship which is how I started but now as we are becoming a fairly decent side, the demand is higher. Im sorry to say those who are ASTH and those who have high priority points deserve a ticket over those with lower points. It should be upto those people as to whether they go or not.

Thanks for your reply.
Just to clarify, I have checked my account history online and for the start of the 2018/19 season there are two points deducted for the two European games.
There is no manual adding on of a point at all.
I have also never heard of this before.
I still maintain the maximum possible is 27.
I have heard before of people with 28+. These are either mistakes by the ticket office (I assume) or some people are getting points manually added for other reasons.

To those with high PPs, based on my friends experience if you can get an AST get one, don't rely on PPs because by doing that my friend by the end of September will have missed as many games this calendar year than he has in the previous 10 seasons including Europa ties home and away.

A few seasons ago he was actually offered an AST but declined because he didn't want to be sitting away from non-AST friends and felt confident that his PPs would always ensure he got tickets unfortunately it hasn't worked out that way, as PPs don't count to AST eligibility the sooner you get one better would be my advice.

Personally I am 24 points having only missed Bournemouth plus the two Wimbledon fixtures last season so I will already have missed as many games this season than I did the whole of last season and I can only imagine it getting worse for me and others relying on PPs.

To add salt to the wound....my mate who is in the corporates x2 and band 1 x5 has 7 seats for Oxford and Bournemouth confirmed. He probably wont even use them. Been happening for 2 years now. Glad people are starting to cotton on!! The club call ALL of these members before the tickets are allocated and offer them seats. It is a total disgrace.
