I used to go to half a dozen maybe ten away games a year. I was off it for a year because of ill health and lost my points so that was that.

I'm not arguing against the PP system but the the AST/BH/Club London/OSB system really troubles me.

There is widespread abuse of the system. Not just people passing them on to their mates (I have benefited from that) but there sites that have guaranteed away tickets and club have let it slide.

As Pinky points out, I'd like to go with my son but unless someone does me a favour, there's no chance of that happening.

And as for the Everton question? I just assumed I couldn't go and now can't go. Everton was one of my favourite aways.

Also that poxy online window system is a disaster for anyone who can't online at a certain system because they work..

Anyway, as we know, there will be no transparency. This meeting won't change anything. The OSB has no way of communicating effectively with supporters that don't suck up to the board.

Or anyone that's very anti WHUISA maybe?

Be funny if that were true
Surely not though.

Everton sold out to 11 points and has gone to ballot. Unfortunately I’m stuck on 10 so I think that’s me done with aways.

Well I'm surprised.
So assuming people went to the three home cup matches last season they'd need to have been to 8 aways last season and this.
That is very unusual for Everton, especially with a 12.30 kick off.
I suspect a combination of the various reasons people have posted earlier plus our good start to the season.

Go in for the ballot - as Everton is clearly not so popular you will have a good chance in the ballot. (One of two aways I got in the ballot last year was when I just missed the cut on about 12 points.)

Well said Pinky.

Whetstone was at Bournemouth on Saturday as well, hidden away at the back.
Freebies, club mouthpieces, corporates, celebs - those are the reasons you aren't getting tickets.

Well if it wasn't him, it was someone that looked extraordinarily like him. Could be my mistake.

As ever, lets not forget who's really ****ing us here.

We can argue the toss about the system and I'm sure that keeps the board happy. We're arguing.

I respect anyone who puts in the effort to follow West Ham Away, but let's remember that our board certainly don't share that sentiment. Of respect, that is.

Unfortunately, because of that lack of respect, we are left with questions that we can't answer and no-one who is the know will let us ask.

It would seem that the question of 'how do I go about getting tickets for that game?' is a simple enough question and one that a supporter should expect to have answered.

So.… how do I get tickets for 'x' away next season?

Can I build up my points in time? No way of predicting.
Can I get an AST? Not sure.
Do I need to buy a corporate season ticket? That might help.
How about making friends with someone important at the club? Worth a try.
Fill out a survey, attend a meeting, write a blog? Who knows....

WE ARE GUESSING BECAUSE THE BOARD WILL NOT KEEP US INFORMED. TRANSPARENCY AND A BIT OF RESPECT SHOULD NOT BE TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR.

Following concerns expressed by many of our members we are putting the following statement out on Social Media.

Calling all West Ham’s Away Following.
The Club has appointed a committee to look into away games ticket distribution. Unfortunately this has been done without getting your direct views.
Suggestions made by those appointed have included removing away season tickets, ending priority points and entering everyone into a ballot for high demand games. There are also suggestions of bondholder abuse and the selling on of tickets.
Our away fans are our most loyal fans. It is unbelievable that these suggestions are being made without a survey of us.
There are genuine concerns about away ticket allocation that include the increased amount given as a priority to corporate, for example, and a lack of transparency as to how the allocations are made.
We urge you to have your say. For many of us travelling to and being at away games is a big part of our lives and there have been many hard earned miles.-And many thousands of pounds spent.

Sean Whetstone is running the survey.
It is worrying that the OSB are running this, it will be heavily biased as it's run from that site and not sent to the wider audience.

Sean has been asked to postpone the meeting to allow a greater canvassing of the fanbase and more fans to have their view but he has refused.

Please contact those running this survey to make your thoughts, whatever they are, clearly known. The survey does not reflect the concerns being expressed or allow for other questions. We suggest e mailing those appointed directly and copying to our e mail address below so we have a record and can publicise the findings.
If you go on the official site they have contact details for the OSB members

Hammers United Email is awaytickets@hammersunited.com

Thank you.

Abolishing ASTs and Priority Points in favour of a ballot system?

It will be an absolute s**t show if that happens. :thdn:

Whoever started this rumour has barked up the wrong tree

All the grey areas are caused by the Club. Its the gentrification of the support, to minimise the negative publicity of the Board and increase the valuation of West Ham for the Board's personal gain.

I doubt we'll ever get answers, unless the Premier League step in and do some form of audit, would love to know how they distribute this 10%, is it on an Excel spreadsheet, is it like the FACup draws, is it from Sully's Christmas card list. Someone knows how it goes, someone needs to spill.

I wonder what the reason is that we have a 26 ticket smaller allocation for both Watford and Everton this season? May not be anything untoward but of course it's unlikely we'll ever get an answer. Which goes back to the old transparency thing, or lack of it.

That's depressing viewing for someone like me that has been out of the country for a year and will likely be gone for one or two more.

Let's say when I'm back that a game goes to 5 points. Where do I get those? I'm essentially relying on there having been 5 home cup games in the current and previous season right?
