I don't see a reason to bring him back. We still have plenty of wingers, I'm not sure he gets consistent minutes. Also... another winger won't fix the problem of CM, it just means he'll be in the same situation as the rest, stuck running up and down the wing waiting for passes that never come.

Still works for me, it was a clip, of some absurdly good skill from Grady, who is looking proper mustard at the moment.
Ta. Problem is/was my location.

I can see him winning a Championship winners medal, picking up Championship player of the year, and end up playing there again next year.....

As I type this GD is giving Slav at least a reach-around, begging him to let him stay where he is.

Looks physically stronger than he was last year, holding off a few challenges well.

This, and that he's playing with total confidence and belief are the big differences. He'll be a significant upgrade on Yarmolenko.

I agree. He never took people on for us like he's been doing for them.

Clearly playing under a different set of instructions, with much more freedom and creative licence.

For f*cks sake leave him there to recover from his injury, gain experience and confidence and let him come back next year and show us (the manager) how he deserves a place in the starting line up. Anything else (IMHO) is foolish.

I'd exercise a degree of caution about an uplift in his ability because it's a different thing to be playing for the best team in the division every week and playing for a middling one, and it's also a different standard of football.

That said, I didn't want him loaned out and felt that a final ball was often all that was missing last season.

In pre-season, I felt he was taking up much better, attacking positions and looking much more of a goal threat. He seems to have carried that through to a degree.I also think he links more effectively with Anderson than most of our attacking/creative players. There's a complementary fluidity to the way they run with the ball, their movement and the way they play the game.

The one noticeable thing in the video is that Slaven has him playing on a different wing - the left - to the one Pellegrini used to play him on.

I do think he's a Premier League player, and with the right guidance could become a big player. It's all about the final ball with him.

Watched a few of their games this season. Pereira who plays alongside Grady is excellent. West Brom have an option to convert to permanent for £8m I believe. Brilliant business.
