Worth about twenty times Sullivan and seven times Joe Lewis it seems. No wonder he’s moved to Monaco.

I'm planning on going to the Allianz Riviera on the 28th of this month; their last game of the season is Monaco at home on 25/5.
OGC still get poor attendances (typically < 20K, the same as their old ground held) despite being in a huge catchment area and having a decent stadium, upgraded ahead of the 2016 Euro Championships. It holds 36K so there is certainly scope to increase their crowds, but they don't own it.
I've no idea what their finances are like but they do have some decent young players, Patrick Vieira managing them and a well regarded youth setup.
Personally, I'd sooner buy a football club than a floating gin palace and maybe Ratcliffe feels the same. However, unless his grand plan is to buy the Allianz outright (it hosts a good deal of rugby as well as concerts), I have no idea how he would get Nice in the big time and be FFP compliant.

I’m going to that game too
Usually a lively affair the two sets of fans don’t like each other at all
Nowhere near the ground to drink, best off in the old town and get a tram to the ground, Wayne’s bar or manolans by the opera
Enjoy

I'm going to be in Antibes for a while as of the 21st of this month; would love to go to the Monaco game as it falls on my birthday.

Odd one this, on the surface. Are there any other UK owners/chairmen in France?

Looking for work on a boat per chance?

Absolutely steaming the last time I was in either of those. Nice's ground is impressive from outside but I've never been in. As you say sicknote, quite a way from anywhere

Went to their game versus Nantes yesterday. Ticket cost a princely eleven Euros. Fantastic atmosphere considering the attendance (17k maybe) and lacklustre performance. Having been awarded a last gasp penalty, Atal contrived to back pass it to the Nantes 'keeper. Game ended 1-1.
A couple of observations: I have never seen as many fit women at a game of football and the stench of weed in the south stand was almost overwhelming.
