If anyone did want to ask the man behind the idea of trying to make you pay to have a say, send a question to the link below:

EDIT - 12pm this morning, more details from Socios.com about release date of its app and scheme to try and get people to pay to have a say.

Well, I'm not sure I'd necessarily agree with that... :)

Would be good to see the sign-up numbers for this.
There is self promotional bumpf and there is things which quite clearly are not true. At the moment the value on the open market is:

Chiliz Price $0.008414 USD
Chiliz ROI -73.71%

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/chiliz/

The responses on twitter and facebook are mostly Juventus fans and people from far eastern countries with little to nothing from any WHUFC accounts of note. Expect that to change once they announce a WHUFC based release date and start a more aggressive advertising campaign.

Good, the time lag will hopefully give us some time to organise a protest. Hopefully an Italian speaking Hammer can keep an eye on what is being offered through the Juve scheme.

I have this keynote speech on and because of work I am 40 or so minutes behind. So far:

“Each team is committed to promote…..directly promote Socios”

Bespoke plans for each team in relations to promotion, marketing, polls, fan tokens and usage of app.

2000 tickets to give away across all teams signed up to Socios platform for the next year.

Socios the “consumer facing brand” (rather than the crypto currency)

“Our job is to create that bridge. We give people the power to connect with their team and the teams likewise.”

“We need to work on how we educate them (the teams signed up to Socios.com). Our job is about educating the club, educating the fan’s and then it’s going to be about requiring users to the platform, what we call converting them… and retaining them”.

“tokens to exist within the platform from next week”

6th November Socios.com App launch

Three weeks between app launch and the “Token Hunt” (the AR Pokemon Go-esq game)

After an FTO (Fan Token Offering), you will be allowed to sell your fan tokens as well as buy within the socios.com app.

“The more tokens you hold, the more loyal you are to your team”

Vouchers for Chilliz to be sold within club shop's

“revenue share with the teams”

“We don’t see the value in doing anything relating to betting involving crypto”

“We do not compete with content creators”

“The fan tokens are not currency, they are digital assets”

“100% of the supply of chilliz when you buy with a credit card, vouchers or pre-paid will come from what is called the market. Technically, the tokens will come from the market price….and that will mainly come from Binance”

“Depends on which country” (in relation to a question of if Socios.com would cover the women’s and youth teams)

25 million tokens to be released as part of the Fan Token Offerings for the 7 announced teams

“There will be limits….. if you buy a lot of tokens….you will have a cap on the weight of the vote”

“You can buy and trade, the voting is in a way disconnected (from this)”

“We have very famous Chinese investors….China is very important to us”

Its such a shame its come to this, but the influx of TV money into our game, has absolutely transformed its fabric and make-up.

I don't see this app is targeted at the "Old School" fan, but more at the "Popcorn" fan, its just aimed at a different generation.

It could be quite a lucrative money-spinner for the Clubs and Chilliz and Socios, I don't think anyone really knows where's it going to end up, but having the Clubs as a foundation is a major positive for them, which they can build and evolve from.

At the moment you have got Kumb/Ex/C&H/West Ham Way and everyone has their favourite place they go for their news. Occasionally, these places have a vote, sometimes things are released to certain sites etc. How about the Clubs release everything onto Socios, do votes on what they want, drip-feed whatever they want etc. There's great advantages if it takes off. They don't have to watch a whole bunch of fan Groups, they can control very well what goes out in 1 place, they can steer the discussions how they want, this aids their quest for maximum sale value. They don't have to pay Facebook for advertising or page impressions, they mentioned this on the Socios video, so if the Socios platform takes off, the Club & Socios do get much benefits.

Its just a different way of following a Club, not one I approve of, but its not targeted at my generation.

FFS It's about flogging unregulated crypto currencies. Nothing more, nothing less.

CHILIZ TO OPEN RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT & PARTNERSHIPS BLOCKCHAIN HUB IN CHINA
MALTA, 28th October 2019: Chiliz (Binance.com: $CHZ), supported for 4 years by Chinese investor Feng Bo of Ceyuan Ventures, is opening a blockchain hub in Beijing, focussing on research and development as well as strategic partnerships, to support the Chinese sports industry’s adoption of blockchain technology.

The company, who have existing multi-year partnerships with Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético de Madrid, Galatasaray, West Ham United and AS Roma, wants to help Chinese sports teams to leverage blockchain for fan engagement and connect Chinese fans with European football teams through their fan engagement and rewards platform Socios.com. Juventus, AS Roma and Atletico de Madrid all posted on their Weibo accounts earlier today, stating they are proud to be embracing blockchain through Chiliz and Socios.com to bring their Chinese fans closer to the club.

Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Chiliz & Socios.com said: “Following Chinese President Xi Jinping’s announcement last week that the country should accelerate the development of blockchain technology as a core for innovation, financial influencers have predicted a big focus on blockchain and sports.

“China is a big market for European football. For example, our partner Juventus has more fans in China than it has in Italy. With European football clubs focussing on both recruiting Chinese fans and building fan engagement in the Chinese market, there has never been a better time for us to help the Chinese sports industry to embrace blockchain.”

Feng Bo, Founder of Ceyuan Ventures said: “Blockchain can be leveraged in many sectors, but the tokenization of sports teams is going to be massive and Chiliz is already global leader. We are thrilled that they will soon be able to help Chinese initiatives with our support and more strategic partnerships.”

Why do I get the feeling for WHUFC this will go the way of the current relationship between the NBA and China?

The big push is coming in the new year. I think we need to show them what we think of the scam when it is launched

Thanks George for the update on Socios. I'm intrigued by the possibilities of 'hunting things down' re: your Juve / Socios twitter feed - If I have a lobotomy and join, can I 'hunt down' the dildo brothers, and if successful claim my 15 tokens which will allow me to nominate myself as the next Chair of the club.

There was a steep price rise a few weeks ago in the crypto currency value of Chiliz which has settled down and is slightly down in recent days. Still never gone over the return on investment value at launch:

Chiliz Price $0.012509 USD
Chiliz ROI -41.82%

Steady stream of bad results, fan unrest and bad news stories would devalue the WHUFC crypto currency.

He is. A poll he ran asking people if they thought the news of a new manager at Tottenham would affect the value of his crypto currency and journalists would report that.

"Tottenham sack their manager and hire a new manager within 24 hours.....

In other news the crypto currency provided by a club sponsor to try and monetise fan opinion rose in value from 0.12p to 0.13p on the news"
