Does exactly what it says on the tin - the forum for football-related discussion.

Quite aside from all the media hype, to come back from 3-0 down against one of the strongest sides in Europe is impressive and from a purely objective (forgetting that I don’t like them) point of view it is difficult to find fault. As Puff says above, everyone did their part in stopping Barca controlling the game - Klopp with his tactics, the players and the support .... they were all behind the Bindippers.

Looking forward to Ajax winning the final though.

The same Messi who has won:

4 Champions League trophies
10 La Liga titles
6 Copa Del Reys
8 Spanish Super Cups
3 UEFA Super Cups

Not forgetting the small matter of the Ballon d'Or a record five times.

Definitely not "World Class".
By any stretch of anyone's imagination he is World Class but all those achievements have been made surrounded be equally World Class players performing week out and week out at Barcelona and I believe many people look at players who they deem the greatest of all as what they achieve without that luxury.

Maradona experienced exactly that and still delivered for both club and country, it could be argued his greatest rival Ronaldo has to some extent has too but ultimately for the second year running he has on the biggest club stage he has allowed his team to capitulate outside of his Spanish comfort zone so it is only right the claims he is the greatest of all time are challenged.

Annoyingly when they don't win the league this weekend, they won't be as upset as they would have been, had they lost last night.

I think what makes Liverpool's performance and result last night so impressive and elevates it above the Roma tie from last year was the overhanging jeopardy of conceding an away goal which would have certainly ended the contest.

I mentioned a couple of times both on here and to friends that whilst I could see Liverpool getting three or four goals, I couldn't see them keeping a clean sheet. They deserve respect for the way they were able to persistently attack Barcelona over 80 odd minutes and not get caught out and punished themselves.

Indeed.

Missing Salah and Firmino and with the disappointment of likely being pipped to the title the previous night, plus the hazard of the away goal – I think for a change the hype is justified.

An insane result and performance.

I'm not sure it tops them overturning the 3-0 deficit to AC Milan in the final.

Credit where credit is due for the Liverpool team...

Unfortunately the same can't be said for their fans who are unlikely to get credit anywhere.

Apart from maybe a PayDay loan

He's something to make you feel better. Since Klopp has been at Liverpool they have reached a final 3 times and lost the lot! They also appear to miss out on the League despite potentially getting 97 points and only losing one game all season! :D

I pray to God that Ajax finish the job tonight. Absolutely no one wants a Liverpool v Spurs final!

There is no winner if it's a Spurs v Liverpool final.

My mind simply cannot compute the best outcome..

I just... I don't...

With Ajax being the combined version of Liverpool and Spurs, I have decided the least painful is Liverpool to win it, as they've done it before and more recent then Ajax.

The amount of bloke's wearing Liverpool shirts around my home town earlier was ridiculous, especially as it was pissing down with rain. They do love to show their colours around here when they have a good result. Do they expect people to go up to them and congratulate them on their win or something? Such a fickle lot. Been in local pubs on a few occasions when Liverpool are on tv and you can guarantee if they lose, their fans don't hang around, they **** off home straight away pouting. I really do despise them. If they win either the PL or CL (or even both) the media love in will go into overdrive. You can expect all the squad and staff to be on the Queen's New Year Honours list. Not forgetting Sports Personality awards as well. Pray they don't win either folks. As I'm typing this and watching the horse racing, advert just comes on with their players advertising Nivea Men. They are everywhere, and worse it is going to get.

BUT... thats the problem, the lie, mate....

That there are NOT ACTUALLY the strongerst side in Europe, really one of the oldest.

Dont you see that? 8-)

AND they have a bad coach.

Thats why, I set Ajax to win... because they are the future... and the team that run the most, I think....

I would put this way:

"WHEN will be the day, when Liverpool win something WITHOUT CONTROVERSY, ROBBING, (so, the DIRTY WAY), etc....."

Thats why I call such a team a LOSER, because, they just DONT KNOW HOW TO LOSE, whats is the same as you dont know how to win FAIRLY... 8-)

And a bad loser is the worst loser, yeah, Loserpool.

Have you forgot the red card against Roberts (as the game was 0-0 in the first mins) for the agression on Messi???

Or the fireworks in front of the hotel???

Thansk God, the final game is NOT in Liverpool.

Never really understood the hate our fans have for Liverpool. I grew up in the 70s/80s when they were winning everything and wasn't assed.

Man Utd however is the team i despise, all those plastic fans that popped up in the 90s too pretending theyve been season ticket holders for years. The town i live in now is swarming with them.

When the Prem title race was basically Man Utd v Arsenal every year I couldn't bear either side and always hoped Liverpool would somehow get their act together and stop the other two so I too have always had less animosity towards them than most.

If you happen to live and work in London it's the easiest decision you'll ever have to make.
