Actually that sounds far from far fetched.
There has to be some
reason as to why we're not attracting the likes of these people. regardless of what we think as fans about the stadium, I don't by this caper of 'nobody will want to buy us because we don't own our own ground'.
Er, hello, we pay £3 million a year (with the extra capacity) for a 60,000 possibly 66,000 capacity ground, with no outlay on the upkeep and associated costs of running our own ground.
From a business point of view, for somebody buying us, that's a massive carrot in itself!
We have a huge fan-base, we sell nigh on all the tickets for home matches, we have history, and we are really the definitive 'sleeping giant'.
Run right with proper investment, we're ripe for a buy-out - yet for some (or 3) reason, we're being given a wide berth.
Either G&S have put too high a price on us (surely someone has asked them the question) or, nobody wants anything to do with the mob that own us.
Personally, I think it may be a combination of both.
